We were greeted by George, who was super friendly off the bat. He sized my finger, then he went and showed us a variety of rings and had me try on ones i liked the most and set them all aside to make note for my boyfriend when he goes back. Watches and bracelets the whole deal. The friendliest Vietnamese man gave me free reign to wander around the store (his house) so I moved to the back. Among a number of purses and other things there was a whole room with Asian groceries. Lot's of stuff too, really a neat place. If ever you need some authentic noodles, rice, or seaweed to chew on this is the place! He also mentioned his wife cooks quite a bit of Asian food, eggrolls and the like. Come back from 4pm-8pm for that is what I was told. I plan on it. No credit cards here obviously, but they also do watch and jewelry repair. Check it out sometime!

(I later looked at Google and Facebook which confirmed these ratings). I messaged the company and Brian got back to me shortly. I told him what I needed and asked for a quote. He said that he needed to see the home before he could quote a price. Brimin's protocol when taking on a new house is to first do a ceiling to floor deep clean to get everything up to their standards and then they schedule you for your next regular cleaning. Even though I was only in town a couple more days and Brian had morning until evening jobs, he still took time on Saturday to stop over with his wife and business partner, Jasmin, so I'd have a chance to meet them. I introduced them to everyone then Brian and Jasmin went around the house assessing what it needed for a deep clean and what it would need on an ongoing basis. When Brian got back to me with the estimate i was a little surprised by the cost. I guess I just didn't realize the amount of love the house really needed. My dad, on the other hand, flat out said no. He wasn't completely on board in the first place. I talked to Brian, told him our thoughts and concerns and we were able to work out something that we all could agree to. Brian and Jasmin came yesterday. They spent a combined 8 hours cleaning. I called my mom after they left and she could not stop raving - her chandelier sparkled, her kitchen light fixture was much brighter, they picked up everything and dusted underneath it (and there is A LOT of "everything"!). She just went on and on. And then on and on for a couple more days. She really enjoyed talking with Brian snd Jasmine (Brian did (very kindly) mention that my parents are quite the conversationalists - they will talk your ear off if you let them!) My brother happened to stop by while they were still there. He said he was very impressed with their work and he really felt a good vibe between them and our family. His opinion means a lot to me - he's an extremely hard worker and has exacting standards. For him to admire someone else's work says a whole lot. My dad was happy enough that he has agreed to monthly cleanings - we were hoping for twice a month but this is huge for him and we'll take those baby steps. I'm thrilled, but more in a selfish way, now I won't need to spend my visits cleaning nonstop! Please, if you are looking for a cleaning service and only make one call, make sure it is to Brian Brimin. You won't be sorry. (Update since I wrote this...unfortunately, my parents have both had major health issues since Brian and Jasmin were there last week. They are both headed to rehab for a few weeks to gain strength. We've finally convinced them that they really just can't live alone anymore so coming home to live at all is in question. No, you can't have their spot yet though, after finally finding the Brimins, I'm not willing to let them go that easily. I'm three time zones away from Brian right now so I will call him in the morning. I hope that they are still willing to come out for their scheduled appointment. Although the house really won't need much cleaning, I hope they can help my brother and I with some of the big big jobs like windows and such. I guess I'll find out if they are willing to stay on with us in the morning.)

We had them both engraved..to make them even more personal. Since then, this store is our go to for Gifts of all price ranges. Upon entry it is a skylit setting of a large number of jewelry display counters. Staff are amazingly attentive and knowledgeable. They offer something to drink and ask whatever they can do to make you feel comfortable enough to spend big bucks on beautiful jewels, watches and other elegant fittings. This is a beautiful store with beautiful expensive things. They are full service providing everything from jewelry cleaning, repair, replacement, sizing, whatever is needed to keep your jewels looking their finest. This is not free. These are high end professional jewelers who know what they are doing. Replacing a watch battery is $15. Making a ring a size bigger, about $125. Replacing a tiny stone and resizing, reinforcing prongs, about $225. If you love estate pieces as I do, there are 3 cases. A gold filigree type emerald ring surrounded by peridots was $1500. A large opal in a gold setting, $1600. A 1960s pink opal, $600. I have to say that skilled jewelers are harder to come by. To stock watch batteries when people don't even wear watches anymore, except us old folks, is no longer a Walmart counter service. If I was in the market for high end jewelry and wanted the lifelong service for my investment, I would be very secure doing business here. This is not a mall jewelry store with bright lights making every diamond seem to call your name. This is a first class, no kidding high end place where you get what you pay for. I took a few photos but was worried about appearing to be casing the joint, so no actual offerings photographed. You will just have to go and see for yourself!

Over the years (28 this August) I lost 3 of the 4 rubies, and the last time I had it in for repair, I have pretty bad arthritis so I had it enlarged with a way to tighten it so it wouldn't come off, but fit over my knuckle. The previous jeweler only attached one side to the ring itself, and it cracked right in the center on the side that faces your palm, I guess is the way to describe it.. I do have before and after, but not of the crack. HIGHLY recommend! So happy with my ring!
