They didn't disappoint! I got one of the best massages ever by Agustin. Initially, I wanted a quick shoulder and foot rub. I wasn't in a spa day mood, but I extended the time once the massage started. For good reasons! I was in heaven. Agustin rubbed every knot out of my body. After the body massage, I got my feet washed before getting the fish pedicure, which I didn't necessarily care for but decided to do once he told me how it worked. I saw they were clean and didn't put anyone's dirty feet in the tank without sanitizing them. The fishies went to town on my feet and left feeling softer than they had ever felt after a regular pedicure. I am happy to have found this place cause I will be returning when I am back in Cancun.

The concierge wrote me back saying no, it's exclusively for hotel guests. From the time you walk in, your person stays with you to the end and see through your spa experience. We had Abraham as our guide and were there for hydrotherapy, which I have never done. We first were directed to some of the most luxurious locker rooms I've seen and change out into their provided bathrobes and slippers. We then walked down this beautiful walkway into the hydrotherapy area. We began our experience with the sauna, which included cucumbers on eyes with a cooling rag on your head. Then came a shower. They give you 4 options, all are private showers with closing doors. I chose the one with the cold water bucket (it's literally a bucket that you stand under and pull a chain). Then came the steam room for a little over 5 minutes, followed y the cold plunge! After that freezing experience comes the massage pool, where you sit in warm water and have water jets massage you lower back. Finally came the big pool. The pool itself is pretty huge in size and has a waterfall spout you can stand under, water jets massage platforms in the pool, and water jets for your lower bag. My personal favorite was the two spouts that are shooting out water at a higher pressure as this really helped massage my neck, shoulders, and chest. Overall, I give this experience a 11/10. I definitely recommend the hydrotherapy spa experience if you're staying in Hyatt Ziva Cancun.

At first, my masseuse seemed like she knew what she was doing, but things became uncomfortable once she asked me to flip onto my back. She lifted the sheet so high that I could see her face, which completely defeated the purpose of being covered. After that, there was little to no actual massage done on the front of my body. At one point, she stretched my legs in a way that exposed my private areas, and later she lowered the sheet too far and briefly exposed my breasts. For a large portion of the session, she mainly rubbed oil on my body without any real technique or pressure. There was a serious lack of professionalism throughout the experience. While there is often a misconception that Americans have endless money, we still work hard for what we earn and should be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor without feeling uncomfortable or taken advantage of. A massage should feel safe and respectful, and this did not. I would not recommend this place unless you are prepared to feel exposed and disappointed.

The food here is terrible...everything was disgusting....it was either over cooked....too salty...or the produce itself was disgusting....the food here made me miss new york sooo much....the wonderful amazing food NYC had to offer me is everything....I remember asking this question why is there no seafood on the menu... Mexicans don't believe in cooking with seafood...what the hell...the craziest thing I ever heard during my stay at the sunset hotel...some of the staff member in the hotel was nice and some were extremely rude...expicaly the front desk... Hung up on me twice while I was trying to make reservations...if you want wifi in your room...thirty five dollars a night... You must be out of your mind lol Sometimes I think I'd just like the simple life... you know... relax a little....So I decided to do a spa day in the hotel since it was the last day at the sunset resort.... when going to a spa you should wear something loose and comfortable....prices for spa in hotels are always on the high side...too bad this place is not worth it...the message might be one of the worst message i ever gotten at any spa.... hot tubes and saunas are for spa customers only....

Our masseuses were kind and open to feedback on pressure. They had an add on of champagne oil which smelled amazing- hoping to try that next time! I will highly recommend this spa to everyone staying at this resort- even if not staying at this resort it's worth it to come over for the spa. The customer service is on another level- they are constantly offering drinks and asking if you need anything- We felt super relaxed. Finding the concept interesting, we decided to step in. The friendly workers here informed us that it was $20 per person for 20 minutes. We agreed, and sat down to get it done. One of the workers first came to clean our feet with some solutions, wipe them, and then told us to put our feet in the water. It was ticklish at first, as the fish started nibbling all over. After a few minutes, we got used to it. It was interesting seeing the fish do their job. They were small and very energetic. The tub in which they sat was transparent, and we saw fellow shoppers passing by and finding intrigue in this place as well. After a cool 20 minutes, we took our feet out of the water. A worker proceeded to apply lotion and give us each a massage. It was a pretty cool experience. I would recommend this place if you find yourself in Cancun.

I was approached by Juan Carlos for a free neck massages at the pool, so I took him up on it. He seriously worked it right out. I could have kissed him. So forward to October 2019 I see Juan Carlos around the pool with his massage chair giving free 10 minute massage. So I got the 10 minute massage and just melted. So I made an appointment for 4 p.m. that day for a full body massage overlooking the sea. Hands down best massage ever. He is firm yet gentle. Thoroughly worked me into heaven. When he was done I told him "why didn't I do this the first day I got here" He said majority of his clients say that. I will seek him out the moment I get to Cancun. The spa it's self in the hotel is stunning. Being on the club level you have total access to it as well as an indoor pool. Do yourself a huge favor and stay at JW Marriott while in Cancun.
