We called Jessica and she came out right away, and not only that, her husband and a crew member came out to caulk the exterior area to give us time. Jessica and Joel (owners) are great people, I found the company to be very responsive to our questions and requests. They fixed a number of wood rot for us and did a great job... We've passed on their information to other neighbors and friends. We've hired them to work on our rental home. The previous two companies we had to fix our rental home just never did anything, within a week of assessing the damage caused by the hail storm, Jessica gave me estimates and emailed the insurance company. We requested that Cuzco come out to evaluate, and Joel came out, and said he had nothing to fix, and could possibly return if we could locate the active leak. Clearly there was a substantial issue due to obvious interior water damage. Since then, we have had a BBB roofer and insurance adjuster inspect, and the roof is now so damaged that it will require complete replacement. Both the roofer and adjuster noted the shoddy workmanship of the previous repair, and that the current issues could have been avoided if the roof was corrected/repaired properly by Cuzco in 2014. Now, Cuzco is not responsive to any of our phone calls and have dropped off the map. Do not trust these people, they contributed to the ruination of my home.

They installed wrong flooring in entire house. Left live electrical wires in the walls which could have burned down our home. Our shower floor doesn't drain because the floor is uneven. kitchen cabinets weren't finished. They flooded our dry basement and ruined it. RUN from KC Remodel are liars and dishonest they walked out on our remodel job because we requested invoices showing where our money was going. They also kept our allowance money. we found out they were over charging us for additional items flooring, paint, Sheetrock etc. they use it in their own homes or other homes. This is why they would not give us invoices. They did a terrible job. All the photos on their website are probably fake.

The Lenexa company felt my location in Blue Springs Missouri was too far away to send someone to look at the job, was probably too inexpensive a job, and recommended I call someone local to my home. Of course the person who called said it was a busy season and it would be months before they could send someone to my location. So much for checking Yelp for a "good" gutter installer.

Unfortunately, the project to remove the popcorn ceilings throughout my entire home turned into a major problem requiring significant wall repair, significant damaged hardwood flooring, and exterior damage which will cost me thousands of dollars to fix. After the job, I kept finding new issues almost daily. Erik willingly returned multiple times to address concerns, but I kept finding more problems, and eventually I gave up trying to have everything corrected. There is overspray on vents, walls, floors, and all over my master bathtub. The knockdown ceiling texture is inconsistent, with many gauges, scrapes, thin spots, areas that were not properly patched from nails, etc. In my kitchen ceiling, the knockdown has popped off two screws and are now visible just a few months later. After the ceiling work, the amount of wall damage was unbelievable. I expected some wall paint touch up, but every inch along top of the wall and down the trim had tears, rips, or damage requiring fix. In several places, they cut out small drywall pieces to color match paint but never repaired those cut areas. In my master bedroom, we agreed to just repaint all the walls instead of touchup due to the amount of damage. They painted without removing wall shelving, outlet covers, or switch plates, it looks horrible. There is paint overspray throughout the room, all over my floors, all over my tub and tile. In other rooms they painted over old nails instead of removing or patching them, and rehung artwork while the walls were still wet so they are now "sealed" to the paint. They claimed my laundry room walls could not be color matched and touched up with a noticeably different color, it looks horrible. They used the wrong tape for flooring protection. It pulled up the finish on my hardwood floors in many areas. Erik initially promised to fix this, said he had a flooring guy. That person attempted repairs but made the damage worse and even splashed stain onto my white floor trim. Erik again committed to fixing it the next day and his guy would fix it. At that point, I had four reputable flooring companies inspect the damage. All of them said it could not be properly patched, it would be a several day process to sand, stain, seal and it would have to be the entire level, not just where the damage is, so Erik saying his guy would fix it the next day was a huge red flag. Other companies also warned continued sanding would permanently damage the floors and need replacement. I told Erik I wanted to hire my own flooring company. He agreed but said he needed to speak with his guy for some reason. I obtained quotes and chose a reasonably priced company. That is when Erik stopped taking responsibility for the floor repairs and even started to say my floor already had damage. Well my floor did not have damage, it had natural wear due its age but that is completely different than several large spots of ripped off finish. In addition to the interior damage, they used my outdoor faucet and left watered-down white paint splattered across my home's exterior and hose storage container (that was brand new). I cannot get this white splatter off. They ripped my buried soaker hose out of the landscape instead of properly disconnecting the hose. They left all of this mess behind. Although Erik did return several times to fix certain issues I identified, I continued discovering many more problems days later and more things surfaced as time has gone by. Areas they claimed received multiple coats of paint, once dried have visible thin spots throughout. At this point, I am left with damaged drywall, a laundry room with mismatched touch up paint, significantly ruined hardwood floors, paint overspray in multiple rooms and all over my master tub , and overall poor workmanship. What started as a positive experience turned into an extremely frustrating and costly situation that will cost me thousands more to fix everything than what I paid Erik for the job.

Then he tried to fabricate a reason he didn't show or call. Then, he admitted to fabricating the reason. Next, he just couldn't leave it alone. When I did the review, he wanted to strike back at me and belittle me when I did nothing wrong as a potential customer nor did I do anything but relay the facts on the Thumbtacks review. I just want everyone to know what kind of a person / ego this owner is. And I didn't say he was a terrible person in the review, I said my experience was terrible. This is how he replied to my Thumbtack review: His Replies: "I don't know whether to laugh but you were already taking too long to comment." "You know how many people make me go to their houses. and they don't answer me, for an hour when I fail you say that I'm terrible, you are a perfect person, I congratulate you for being a person who doesn't have any mistakes."

With all the rain this season I knew things would continue to worsen and I assumed it was a problem with the flashing. I contacted my insurance agent for a referral and he recommended KC Roofing & Restoration Solutions. This company was more than accommodating and promptly visited Mom's home to review the situation. The hard truth was that the company that had put the existing roof in place had used the incorrect flashing and it had pulled away. The flashing was not meant to be used on masonry. Charles was great to work with and explained what needed to be done with a quick turnaround on the estimate. He answered all my questions and now that the work is completed I am more than happy. During the process today, Charles provided me with photos of the different stages of the work - even found a good match for the existing roofing shingles and used waterproof membrane (like an honest roofer should!) before replacing the shingles and finishing with lead flashing (which is what should have been used previously). Oh, and I also had them replace the chimney "cap" as it was also contributing to the leaking issues. Highly recommend - did not want to have a mold remediation sometime down the road! Great value and peace of mind!
