It took forever to get a quote and constantly calling the office hoping to hear back from the contractor or office manager. The carpenters that showed up did a fantastic job but if John shows up as your contractor I suggest you look somewhere else for your remodeling needs. Even after several calls and requests to modify a simple door replacement quote he showed up the day of the install with the wrong quote information. This was for a small project as a test run for a bigger project we are planning on doing. All I can say at this point is there's no way we would work with them again. The total lack of follow up and lack of communication is unacceptable when it comes to consumer affairs. The only reason they get 1 star is for the understanding carpenters that did a nice job. read more

Their bid was very reasonable and the lowest we got, they were extremely fast in assessing, prepping and painting AND the end result was better than we'd even dreamed!!! Andrew and his crew were wonderful to work with. Everyone was very respectful of our family and property, taking extra steps to make sure things were put back exactly as they found them. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They got the whole job for a 4,000 sq ft house with extra details done in two days. I contacted Brogan Painting and Remodeling about a month ago for a painting quote for our bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, and family room. They were quick to respond to booking an appointment. They showed up on time to evaluate the area to be painted, but they never followed through with a written quote. It has now been three weeks since they came to our residence. There is no excuse considering I clearly gave them my e-mail address when they came out. I also spoke to someone from the business several days after the quote (I called) , she asked me if a quote had been sent yet, and I stated, "no". It seems like an utter waste of the business's time to come out to a residence and never follow up with pricing. The process also clearly wasted my time because I stayed home to wait for the employee to show up for the appointment. If Brogan Painting and Remodeling handles potential customers like this when trying to gain business, I don't have hope that the company will be a good contractor to work with once the deposit is made and once the work starts. read more

We used Brogan's to do a complete tear off and replace of our front siding after a woodpecker attacked it. I am a big believer in getting 3 bids before undertaking any major home improvement project. Well, it was a little hard to find anyone who did just regular siding (not vinyl) to get 3 bids and some companies didn't even return my calls! I'll never understand how businesses that don't return calls stay in business but I digress....Brogan's bid was fair. They did the work quickly and were very neat and tidy. We were so impressed that we had them back to paint the entire outside of our home just 6 months later and it turned out great as well. read more

Professional Painting Company! I had several companies out to bid an exterior paint update and deck stain refresh on our single family home in Olathe. Brogan's painting had a competitive bid and we really thought William, a project manager with the company, was personable and professional. The painters were friendly and professional. They did a superb job. I already recieved complements from neighbors. William checked on the house multiple times each day. Any questions were answered promptly. Too bad there aren't 10 stars. They are that good. First off my wife and I are VERY PICKY. ABSURDLY PICKY. Our gardens are terrific. We drive contractors nuts with our need for perfection. - get the picture? We could not find a flaw in their work. They painted our house and fence. They were reasonable in their price. One estimate was twice what they charged. They were super neat. I mean super neat. Everything was covered beautifully. No plant damage which is very hard at our place. The house looks great. Juan-2 was our lead painter. He is a home town guy who grew up in our community. He is a machine. He works effortlessly and quickly. Before we could direct him to an area he had it done. Terrible experience! The issue at our house happened in November of 2019 so COVID was not a factor at all. Everything should have been complete. The painters did excellent work. Our floors look great but they were supposed to cover cabinets and everything while refinishing and did not but it was included in what they received from the insurance company. We had some loose ends and the supervisor absolutely ghosted our contractor. I attempted to contact him as well. He sent someone to fix our cabinet but it still wasn't right and never communicated back with me. I reached out again and total silence. We are left with several things that look unprofessional. Floor finishes, tile grout did not match the existing grout, trim color is off. So when he calls and he wants to be paid he offers to pay for what we had to pay out of pocket to fix the cabinet. We had to identify someone who could do it and take care of it when it was THEIR responsibility. Told him we are very unhappy as it has been since November. Are you kidding me! So he takes off an additional $59. Pathetic. Would absolutely never use them or recommend Brogan Painting & Remodeling. read more

I had Brogan's Painting and Remodeling fix wood rot and do a complete re-paint of my house. I had six companies come out and give estimates, Brogan's was nearer to the highest than the lowest bid. I'm of the mind that you usually get what you pay for, plus I liked their estimator Joe's approach. He seemed very knowledgeable and honest about what would be done, including some wood upgrades/approaches that would help to lessen the chance of wood rot re-occurring sooner rather than later. I might include that I submitted my request via their website, was called the next day and Joe was out within just a few days of that. They were always there when they said they would be. A word of caution here - perhaps making estimates on wood rot is not so easy, since you can only make estimates on what you see. As soon as the wood rot crew got to my house, the price started going up. I was not at all happy with this, but the owner, Aaron, soon showed up. We discussed the issue, I was shown the additional issues the crew had found, and Aaron said he would work with me as best he could to keep the price down. A few things I was unhappy with - the first day they were there I asked that they please keep the fence gates closed, as I have two dogs. Never happened (I asked twice). Several of my plants were trampled, and I do mean trampled! The morning of the 3rd day was trash day, and one of the crew had parked their car in front of some tree limbs I wanted taken away. I tried to explain this to the crew but no one spoke English! They wound up putting a plastic tarp over my pickup instead! Finally got that straightened out, and was told normally there is always an English speaking employee on the jobsite. The other thing is somehow the ground wire for my cable system got cut. Joe came back and fixed it, no problems. So I had several issues, why am I giving these guys five stars? Because the job they did - replacing rotted wood, putting additional wood in strategic places, power washing, caulking and other prep work, and the *painting* they did was practically flawless! I feel like I have a brand new house, and many of my neighbors have mentioned how nice it looks. I checked the work out as closely as I could, and I would say they don't take shortcuts. They respond to issues and questions as asked (Joe responded to one of my emails at 2am). They worked with me to keep the price down as much as they could, and in the end, although the price was higher than estimated, it was still reasonable. Total time of the project was 3 days, start to finish. So, I wanted to describe my experience as best I can. They were not perfect, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone that asks. I called last week to set up an estimate and scheduled it for today. They were a no show. Called the company and was told they couldn't find me on the schedule. After a couple of minutes of looking, they did see that someone was suppose to come out, so we rescheduled for tomorrow. Twenty minutes later they call back and tell me that the owner said they will not be able to come out. They WILL NOT tile a shower floor. William came out to provide an estimate, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions and explained their process completely. I only had a picture of a house that was the color I wanted, the first day William showed up with several color samples and once I chose one he painted a little on so I could be sure. The work crew was very polite and professional. They started with all the wood repair, explaining what they were doing all along the way. They did very thorough prep before starting to paint, scraping and caulking in spots I hadn't even noticed. William checked in with me each day to keep me informed of their progress and plans and answered any questions I had. I was very impress by the level of customer service and professionalism. They did a great job on my house, everyone comments on how good it looks. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them highly! read more
