Dr. Hebert ENT Hwy 190 Eunice Louisiana 70535 This place is a joke! 4/29/21 I was told I was going to get a septoplasty if insurance approved it. It was scheduled for 5/25/21. I was told I would need someone to drive me home. So my husband who is a truck driver took 4 days off so he could drive me home and take care of me for a few days. I requested the the time off of work as they suggested 1 week. 5/24/21 my husband is now home, I have been given a week off work (people had to move their schedules around to cover my shift mind you) Dr. Hebert's office calls me at 11:20 to tell me my insurance has not yet approved the procedure. This is the first I am hearing of this. Chelsea from Dr. Hebert's office makes me feel like she is fighting the insurance company, and I shouldn't be stressed. Getting her to call back is another story. She waits pretty much till end of the day to tell me it's a no go but she tells me the is another facility they use that can fit me in on 5/27/21 and again she makes me feel like she is fighting for me. Again getting her to return a call is like getting authorization from the insurance (putting it nicely communication sucks on their end). Sadly I got a call from the other facility informing me my procedure had to be canceled before Chelsea called me back. And now I am getting bills for the blood work/covid test that I took 1 week before I was due to have the procedure. I contacted the place that did the blood work apologized for my temper but informed them the could collect from Dr. Hebert because I lost close to $1000.00 just for my husband missing work, and he should had authorization before anything was done. The Hebert Medical Group likes to perform a proceedure called Sinus endoscopy without telling you that you will be charged like a sinus surgery from your insurance. They did this in the past about 9 years ago which was why i quit going to them. I thought maybe they would have changed, but no! I went to them again in March and same thing. I just received a bill for $435.48 when everything done in office should have been included in the office visit co-pay. Do not let these doctors perform anything without asking what is the out of pocket expense to you! Because they surely won't tell you and it will cost you a good little fortune. read more
