I've always wanted a teddy coat, but have never bought one because I live in Miami. However, enter this cute little coat I spotted on the rack that is now my new fave purchase of 2025. The coat was just $16, and if you do a little dance at check out they give you 10% off. Say less, I did my little dance and walked out of there with a purchase under $15 that I've already worn 3 times! They have a good variety of nice outfits, casual ware, accessories and shoes as well. The staff was also super friendly. I wish we had one of these shops in my neighborhood, but would def go back when visiting Boone.

That's even more than my local women's club raised (through donations and fundraising only) for the same period. The store is neatly organized, and the prices are great. The day I stopped in, they were having a half-off sale on their women's clothing, and I was able to find several things that I liked. They also have a variety of housewares, cookware, linens, shoes, and decor. They even have a roomy fitting room to try on clothes. Note that they don't have any men's clothing. All of their items are donated, and many were higher-end brands. I found several Loft and Talbots tops and dresses that I had to purchase. Village Thrift is also fully run by volunteers who are friendly and happy to be there. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in town!

Last year, they gave over $100,000 to about 20 students. The store is staffed by a lovely group of volunteers who take pride in making a difference. They have a wide selection of items from art to clothing, jewelry, and home goods. I found a few cute items and felt good about my purchase as well. With 2 floors fully stocked of product, it offers a glimpse of how things were in olden times. Pricing on many items is very fare, from what I saw and was able to compare. This store has a really cool vibe and atmosphere that is very laid back and makes you happy and smile from the moment you walk in. The staff was very helpful and did a good job. I was able to find some gift items that were perfect for some people on my list that are usually harder to shop for. If you are in the near vicinity of this store it would be wise to come in here.
