Initially,…read moreI wanted to be much smaller, and after he advised that going too small would not look proportional on my body, we mutually agreed on a C cup result. Unfortunately, after surgery, I remained approximately the same size (around a DD) and did not achieve the reduction we discussed. To make matters worse, one breast is now visibly larger and sits higher than the other. I later learned that a 30cc larger implant was placed on my left side based on the doctor's own judgment. I never requested for one breast to be larger than the other, and I do not understand why that decision was made. Now my left breast protrudes noticeably out of bras and clothing and the asymmetry is very obvious in everyday wear. I brought bras and shirts into the office to physically show the problem, and during the examination Dr. Rubinstein himself acknowledged that the left side is larger and higher than the right. Despite admitting the unevenness, I was told I would still need to pay again for corrective surgery. I understand that no cosmetic surgery can guarantee perfection, but I do expect reasonable symmetry. I am very conscience because people have noticed and pointed out that my left breast is larger than my right. I will be posting pictures and more reviews.

What is the worst part is when I asked the Office Manager to note English as my preferred language as she left me a voicemail in Spanish her response was "this is Miami". What sort of response is that?! I clearly know where I live and the first language is English not Spanish. One should not make an assumption that I speak Spanish especially with a non-Latin last name. An easy apology would have avoided this all. I have had an appointment made with this office for close to three months now, and at first I was…read morevery hesitant coming here because of its location. When I arrived, I noticed that there was ample parking spots all around the building. When I entered the suite for the dermatologist office which is 116, I was greeted by the two wonderful ladies at their front desk. Because I was a first time patient there was some quick paperwork, all done on an iPad and then payment of my co-pay. The waiting are, and exam areas were spotless! This place was clean, organized and smelled fresh. I waited no more than five minutes before I was quickly taken into the exam room. I was asked a few questions about my health, my skin, and basically what brought me in for the visit. The medical assistant who is helping was also very patient and friendly. The one thing that stood out immediately was how friendly all of the staff members are. After a few short minutes of being in the exam room, the doctor came in and introduced herself. We spoke a little bit about my skins history and what procedures I was getting done before. She gave me some recommendations of other facilities in Fort Lauderdale that handle the specific type of issue that I was visiting for. She also recommended the same procedure that I was receiving from a different physician many many many years ago when I lived in New York. I really appreciate the fact that they did not try to force anything on me, or get me to do something or try something that they were not comfortable with let alone I was not comfortable with. The doctor was confident enough to give me information for a different office in Fort Lauderdale that can handle my situation way better than she can, but she also still offered the same procedure in office while I was there. The bottom line here is you rarely go to a doctor's office these days where a doctor will truthfully tell you what they think or what they feel or even refer you to go somewhere else for treatment that they know they truly cannot handle. Honesty like that for a medical professional is rare these days. I ended up getting a treatment done same day, and I have an appointment for one month to come back for a follow up. I think that for now I'm going to stay coming to this office because I felt comfortable, I felt heard and the staff made you feel welcomed and not judged. Dr. Julian and her staff are wonderful.

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Hoffstetter, and unfortunately, the experience was so…read moredisappointing that we left before he was ever seen. We're self-pay because we don't have insurance. The website states that the office accepts CareCredit, but when we arrived, we were told they only accept CareCredit cards with a chip. That didn't make sense, so I called CareCredit afterward, and their representative told me that the presence or absence of a chip should not affect the ability to process an account using the account number and identifying information. I'm not sure why we were denied at this office. Before the appointment, I tried to call the office multiple times to ask about self-pay pricing and payment options. I called seven separate times and never reached a person. The automated system eventually asks if you'd like to leave a voicemail for a callback, but selecting that option simply disconnects the call. There is no way to speak with the front desk or leave a message. Since we couldn't get anyone on the phone, we arrived 25 minutes early to ask our questions in person. We wanted to know approximately what the visit would cost, what forms of payment were accepted (since this isn't listed on the website), and whether payment plans were available. Instead, we were told payment was due upfront, but no one could provide even a rough estimate of what the visit would cost. My understanding is that self-pay patients generally have a right to receive a Good Faith Estimate under the No Surprises Act. We were expected to agree to treatment without any idea of the final bill. While checking us in, Dr. Hoffstetter's receptionist also made several personal comments about my tattoos, asking how many I have, whether I'm "covered," and what my mom thinks about them. It felt inappropriate and unrelated to why we were there. I tried to be polite, but my husband was understandably frustrated that we couldn't get answers to basic questions about our visit while being asked personal questions instead. At that point, we decided to leave without seeing the doctor. There are several areas where this office could improve: * Clearly list payment methods, self-pay policies, and financing options on the website. *Provide self-pay patients with at least a reasonable estimate or price range before requesting payment. *Improve phone accessibility so patients can actually reach someone or leave a voicemail. *Ensure front desk staff (receptionist for Dr. Hoffstetter) maintain professional, patient-focused conversations. It was very disappointing and needless to say, we'll be looking for another dermatologist's office to address our health concern.
