Sketchy and Unprofessional Behavior. STAY AWAY! I had an incredibly unprofessional experience with Dr. Tory Sullivan's office. After scheduling appointments for myself and my wife in advance, they cancelled my appointment last week with the excuse "the doctor won't be in the office all week" and tried to push me to see someone else. Strangely, they confirmed my wife's appointment. After calling them out on this, they suddenly "found" room to see us both today. Upon arrival, the situation became even more bizarre. My wife repeatedly requested that I be present during her consultation for support. She told them she would feel more comfortable having me in the room. Despite her insistence, the staff and eventually Dr. Sullivan himself refused, claiming the doctor "doesn't like" having two people in the room. When she came out, they didn't call me in, so I walked away, not before they charged my credit card with the consultation fee. It is unacceptable for a medical professional to act this way. It makes you think about his real intentions to have a young, gorgeous lady alone with him, while refusing the presence of the husband. Because of their scheduling games and unprofessional conduct, I left without being seen. If you value transparency and patient-centered care, stay away from Sullivan Dermatology. read more

Recently I went to Dr Sullivans office for a skin check. This was performed by the PA Katarzyna Bezen. Three biopsies were taken. When the results came in, THEY NOTIFIED ME THAT I HAD CANCER VIA TEXT MESSAGE I was understandably upset and I went to the office to complain about this unprofessional and upsetting action. While I did use some colorful language, the office manager apologized and told me that someone would call me to provide me the name of a surgeon who could perform the necessary procedure. Shortly afterwards Dr. Sullivan called me. This was my first interaction with him directly. He proceeded to SCOLD ME FOR BEING UPSET THAT HIS OFFICE NOTIFIED ME VIA TEXT MESSAGE THAT I HAVE SKIN CANCER. While I could have used less colorful language in my interaction. overall the actions of the staff member who sent the information, and that of Dr. Sullivan himself were, in my opinion, grossly unprofessional. My first time here I had Botox. The staff is extremely friendly and so was Rodrick. He was very gentle, and has exquisite bedside manners. The office was easy to find and also very clean. The view from the patient rooms was very zen full and peaceful. I will be returning to have the rest of my botox treatments at this location with Rodrick. This is the second time I visited this office. The first time I was seen by the PA It was not a good visit. She wanted and did take a small piece of skin off of my back. I told her that I was blood thinners. Even after telling her this she proceeded to cut my skin. I bleed for 3 days. And I had also told her that the spot in question was an old scar from years ago. So for my second visit I wanted to see Dr T Sullivan. It was kind of hard to get an appointment with him. I was not going to see the PA again. Who happens to be a young woman. I wanted to see a male Doctor. I am 70 yrs old and had some private areas I wanted checked and would be more comfortable with a man. Dr Sullivan started the appointment off with an attitude. I explained to him my previous experience at his office and he brushed it off. "We cut people all the time who are on blood thinners. I told him the issues that I had to be addressed. He seemed to enjoy zapping me with the liquid nitrogen. No warning --just zap zap zap. I also had a small cyst on my neck that I wanted to be checked out. He said he would lance it but not take it out because the insurance company didn't want to pay for that. I was numbed. Dr Sullivan came in and was putting a lot of pressure on my neck. I was somewhat alarmed and asked what are you doing? He said taking the cyst out. I just wanted to be informed what was going on. I left feeling pretty good about the appointment. Just a little annoyed with the snippiness. The following week I developed a small infection. Called the office and asked for a antibiotic to be called into my pharmacy. I got no help from the receptionist. I said the only way I would get a script was to come into the office and see the PA. The doctor would not be in. I decided I would see my primary Dr the following week. An hour later Dr Sullivan called and was very nasty on the phone. When I told him that I should have been given a script for the antibiotic the day of the procedure he became angry and told me I was no longer his patient. And I had 90- days to pick up my records. I am now on antibiotic and trying to get the issue resolved. Someone with this kind of attitude shouldn't be seeing patients. I would never go back.. . read more

I am a customer for Dr Sullivan for the last 10+ years and everytime I go there there are issues with billing. Now I received a bill for $78.95 for 1.5 years ago that I dont own or even recall that. The insurance cannot do anything because its over 1 year. I tried to call the office several times with no responses. Horrible! I will not pay a bill that i just received for something they claim happened over 1.5 years ago. Found this dermatologist while shopping on Groupon for Botox. Close to my home and conveniently located on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. When I called for an appointment I was able to get in at my desired time of day within a week. I got the usual text reminders regarding the appointment. Where would we be without our smart phones. Upon arriving at the location there was plenty of free parking surrounding the building. Once inside they have an elevator that will take you to the 3rd floor. Once inside the office you sign in and our given the usual papers to get your information. Not too complex which is great. Since I always want the last appointment of the day there was a bit of a wait but not too bad. Finally I was called in the nurse asked what I was getting and if I needed something prior to the injections to numb the area. I thought that was a new one because after getting this done regularly for the past 18 years I can honestly say I don't feel a thing. I was happy the doctor himself gives the injections. Thus it is definitely worth an extra star. I showed him where I thought I needed it and he suggested a few lines on my forehead as well. Very pleasant doctor and zero pain. I would definitely come back here again as the entire experience was pleasant. The doctor was young and intelligent didn't feel like just another number. read more

I can only give 2 stars because I actually never went to this dermatology office. I found them thru my insurance's network. When I called to schedule, they checked my insurance and scheduled me. I had to wait a few weeks for my appointment and than on the day of my appointment, I was on my way there and a hour before they called me and were telling me that my insurance is not in their network and they can't take me as a client. They could of tell me that from the beginning it wouldn't be a big deal and I would just choose another dermatologist, but scheduling me and than calling me right before my appointment to cancel last minute seems pretty rude and unprofessional. read more

What a team in Ft. Lauderdale !! I was nervous to go. I was greater by a very professional sweet young lady who had to help me with the Ipad. She did it with a smile. Then I was taken back by the medical asst. Very kind and comforting, she made me feel relaxed. Was very nice. Then the very educated P.A. Who spoke to me first and assured me thus could be handled. And she went right to work.. I always feel if the team is full of misery I won't care to come back. Even if the Dr. Is great.. I have been going to for over a year very nice area clean well maintained and close to my house. My service provider is very informative and helpful. The front desk are very respectful, caring , and always greet every client! The waiting room , lobby area is very clean and big with nice music, and informative comercial for treatments they also provide .As well as the bathrooms very clean and smells clean .Regularly every time I go they have a little basket of samples of cream which is very nice and have come in need. The rooms are clean and big with comfortable chair for the clients who are receiving a service. The assistant are very nice and love catching up on how everything is going. I love this dermatologist center and I very much well recommended to everyone in need. read more

Office was nice, and doctor Sullivan was friendly enough, but the diagnosis and treatment was horrible. I came in with what I thought to be an furnacle that I wanted drained. It was diagnosed as a keloid scar, despite the rarity with my race and age. He gave me steriod injections, and said many more were required. He even floated the option of cutting it out with a laser. If I believed that it was a keloid scar, and had no other options, I might have a permanent scar on my face from excision. The furnacle drained on its own and looked so much better I instantly knew it wasn't a scar, and the guy without a med degree (me) was actually right. Its now basically completely gone. Luckily I do my own research and think for myself. Everyone makes mistakes, but I don't recommend this doc at all. read more

I brought my 80 year old mother, a breast Cancer and a brain tumor survivor, who is not fluent in English to Dr. Tory Sullivan's office in North Miami to get his opinion on the black marks on her skin. I informed his assistance from the beginning that I need to accompany my mother inside the office during consultation to explain / update the doctor on her condition etc. as she was not fluent in English. We wanted to get a second opinion from this doctor on my mom's condition. Shockingly, I was not allowed to accompany my old mother in the room till much later and as soon as I walked in the examination room, I began updating the doctor on my mothers condition, responding to his questions and advised him that my sister had also taken my mother to another specialist and began showing him my mothers biopsy test results that were conducted months ago. Dr. Tory Sullivan went went ballistic after I told him the above !! His focus turned away from my mothers skin / health condition to his disrespectful, rude and extremely unprofessional behavior and he began complaining why we never told him that we had seen another doctor before seeing him. I was in shock and I explained to the doctor that I was telling him all that as soon as I was allowed in the examination room to see him as I had specifically told his assistant that my mom is old and not a good communicator especially since English was not her first language. Dr. Sullivan continued with his arrogant, rude, unprofessional behavior and continued complaining and hashing 95% of the time regarding the same issue of why he was not informed that my mother had seeing another doctor prior to seeing him. He had no respect for my 80 year old mother and me and showed very poor bed side manners. He was insensitive, rude to my mothers health condition and overlooked all that with his extremely low mannered, loud, aggressive, arrogant and rude behavior. After asking him to stop several times and telling him that he was being extremely unprofessional and rude, I asked Dr. Tory Sullivan to leave the examination room immediately so my mother could change as we did not want his services and we were done with him and we wanted to leave. It was SHOCKING and I will NEVER recommend anyone to see this doctor who is absolutely arrogant, egoistic, unprofessional, rude, insensitive and has no manners how to treat patients, especially the elderly. Dr. Sullivan was completely inappropriate when injecting my skin with Botox and fillers. He did a horrible job of overfilling too much when I told him I wanted a very natural look which I'm dealing with the effects months later that has damaged and overstretched my skin. When I tried to tell him my concerns and what I wanted fixed, he was dismissive and rushed the process when I tried to ask questions which every patient should have the right to. It was a horrible experience so please save your time & money and stay far away. read more

I had terrible experience with doctor RODERIC RETTIG. I got a lips filler and after that my lips looked horrible, right and left sides were of different size and curves. When I asked him to correct mistake he refused. I had filers done in past many times before and never had such a horrible result and disgusting customer service!
