This State Park hold events such as wedding, birthdays, or whatever celebration you want. We came here for a wedding. It's such a beautiful space (inside and outside! The hall was decorated beautifully. And the outdoor space is just breathtaking! The space includes the ceremony area, reception hall, bridal suite with private bathroom, and security. The indoor space is definitely big enough for 300 people. The outdoor portion had space for outdoor activities (games or whatever) or you can just enjoy the scenic view. The park is near a beach which is open to the public. The event space areas are closed to the public while an event is going on (big plus). The food and drinks are catered separately. The staff were very kind and helpful. It truly is a beautiful space!

He'eia State Park offers fantastic things to do for families with kids, including climbing trees, stunning views, picnic areas, snorkeling spots, and birdwatching opportunities. Restrooms are also conveniently available. Overall, my experience was positive, and I recommend others to visit this gem of a park.

A great place for event rentals. The park is managed by Kama'aina Kids, a non-profit organization. The park is a great place to sit have lunch or a snack as you look out to Kaneohe Bay and the fish ponds. There is also a very nice garden down below. I've been here for weddings, birthday parties, and cultural events. The scenery is what sells this place in having an event there. The space is provided but you have to do all the labor in set up and clean up. This maybe a deterrent for you but that scenery is God's slice of heaven.

We rented out the banquet hall for my father-in-laws celebration of life services and Kaimana Chee and the management at Kealohi Point (He'eia State Park) took care of us as if we were family. Excellent facilities and amazing grounds with ample parking. The staff was on site and available throughout the event providing support when we needed. Mahalo Nui Loa toe Kaimana and Sage!!!

He'eia State Park is a hidden gem!! We made reservations for kayaking and snorkeling for the following day and we were in the area so we stopped in to get a preview and get a lay of the land. The next day, we checked in at a table outside of the banquet hall and the park guide was so nice and answered all of our questions. They even provided dry bags for our valuables at no extra charge! We went down the path to where you get your gear and kayaks. All the park guides were very concerned for everyone's safety and made sure we knew how to use the equipment and had a good fit on the life jackets and flippers. The Perception brand kayaks were great quality! We were provided with a map and told where you can and can't go and where the best place to see fish and turtles! And they saw a huge turtle about 3 feet in diameter and some beautiful fish! The guide that distributed life vests, etc. said that the military base is close by and we might be seeing and hearing huge cargo planes and we sure did! It wasn't too crowded and we just had the best day ever at this state park! * Bring a Go Pro or other underwater camera to photograph what you see!

Beautiful park to visit in He'eia, Oahu. If it were a nicer day, we would have stayed longer. He'eia State Park offers excellent mountain and ocean views and a lovely place for a picnic. It has a diverse garden and views of the He'eia fishpond (although not part of the park). We visited on a cold, rainy day, but would have liked to spend more time here if sunnier!

Another gem on my the Windward side of the Island!! My small family of three decided to spend some time this Sunday driving up Kamehameha highway to do some exploring! I am beyond glad that we did!! He'eia state park is gorgeous! We walked around and learned that there is Kayaking here! We will be doing this very soon!! Easy way to get to water and the views are really breathtaking! This is less than 15 minutes from our home! I seriously can't wait to go back and try the kayaking! The grounds seem to be very well kept. I'm not sure what the one negative review is all about I'm not sure where you can go here in Hawaii where there are not feral cats and or chickens...exactly there aren't. These creatures are not bothering anyone so let's not use them to give a beautiful place a bad name...okay rant over:/ Any-who this park is perfect if you want to watch the sunset, walk, or just want panoramic views of the bay, this park is for you and the kiddos.

2nd largest fish pond on island. So cool to hear that many non-profits contribute to restoring and actively maintaining this pond that's 600-800 years old! My son, friend, and I was fortunate to volunteer with Hui o Ko'olaupoko working on water restoration. The parking lot seems well maintained and when I arrived, there were many volunteers working on park clean up. The bathroom was pretty clean! Great views from atop of the Ko'olau mountain and Kaneohe Bay. There are certain day(s) where you can sign up and pay to fish here. Something my family will be back for! You do have to cross the water which can be either ankle deep or waist deep to get to the wall. Many people work very hard in maintaining the wall and it's not meant for everyone to go on top of. So if you do get the access to get on the wall, show respect! Those rocks aren't cemented in and could crumble.. Nice park to have a picnic or a decent sized party. There are kayaking opportunities too and a boat harbor right behind.

Let's go kayaking! I had no idea that this State Park had a commercial business in operation here! I usually just come to He'eia State Park for picnics and parties. The view is breathtaking and the cool breeze is fresh and invigorating! (Just be aware of the feral cats and chickens...) Parking is free and restrooms are available. Today, I was wondering why the parking lot was kind of busy. There were some tourists (big, floppy hats, towels, sunglasses, swimsuits, and sandals) walking about and I followed a couple down a path. There, between the trees, I saw some bright yellow kayaks! Wow! I went back up the hill and found the office. Right now, the rates are $65 Tandem /$55 Single for up to 4 hours and $75 Tandem /$65 Single for up to 8 hours. Notes: learn about conservation by reading the posterboards and diplays. Check out the Gift Shop for souvenirs!

There's lots of parking here. It is very quite. Smells like the zoo though. I only saw cats . So funny...elderly lady drives up and immediately cat ears begin to pop up. She starts tapping on the side of her little Mazda door and they scurry over to her. She gets out and opens the trunk. She pulls out the largest bag of cat food and begins tossing it to them. Heart just melted as they eat and meows. This lady has an enormously big heart. Mahalo

This is a beautiful state park. When you pull into the parking lot you are greeted with plenty of wild chickens and some feral cats. Their is a nice building that you can rent out for parties. If you walk down there is a place where you could launch a kayak - there are some outdoor showers down there too where you could rinse off your kayak or yourself. There are some nice bathrooms with soap and paper towels at the park too. There is not a whole lot to this park - mostly just a nice parking lot, building, bathrooms and a little boat launch area. Oh and there is a nice outdoor stage area in the grass - where someone could preform. That's about it. This a a pretty place - and it would be an ideal place to rent out a building and have a party. read more

A must see! We rented kayaks from the State Park. very helpful and informative. Made our way to "Sunken Island". Rental prices we on the lower end of things and the views were great! You can paddle to many different sandbars to drop anchor and snorkel. Can be busy. Go early.Water can get choppy for the little ones to paddle. read more

The park is nice and kept clean. Just want to point out that I was there on a sunday and inquired about a kayak rental and the white lady working there was very rude and not helpful. I think there was a wedding going on there that day, but that doesn't justify giving attitude to someone asking about a kayak. I have experienced nothing but love on that island, so getting greeted by someone rude is all the more shocking. And the feral cats are a problem: The cats eat the natural wildlife there, so from a scientific standpoint, the cats should be removed. read more

We booked this location for our wedding which July 14, 2019. This venue is a perfect one-in-all spot. They have a hale where me and the women hung out and got ready for the day. The hula mound has breath-taking views of Kaneohe Bay. We held cocktail time on the lawn outside the reception hall and then moved inside for dinner and dancing. We had a wonderful experience and truly loved our day. Tina was wonderful to work with! From the moment I arrived on the property a year prior to our wedding (and booked the location) through the day of, she was always there to answer any questions myself or any of my vendors had. You can tell that Tina loves her job and is there for the couple, which I truly appreciated. I visited the venue a handful of times post-booking leading up to our day and Tina always made herself available to answer questions, show the property and even provided possible vendor options. My daughter's wedding was May 22, 2017! When we arrived at the venue the grounds were beautiful and the banquet hall & kitchen was clean in preparation to set up for her wedding. The marriage ceremony was outside on the hula mound. We couldn't have asked for better weather with the sparkling clear blue/green ocean as her and her groom's backdrop surrounded by the beautiful trees, flowers and plants. Her reception was held in the banquet hall which accommodated about 200 guests. The hall was cool and roomy where our guests were able to enjoy an evening of fun and celebration. For most of our guests it was the first time for them to come to He'eia State Park and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented on the beautiful surroundings. I would recommend this venue to others for their wedding! read more

Do not pay extra for the deluxe package!! Renters beware!! It's a nice location but that's about It! Rented out the hall for my wedding. Paid extra money for the deluxe package to have the grounds and hall cleaned. It was way Over our budget but we thought It was a good deal.. the package said It would clean the hall and grounds, there will be security and they will clean the hall at the end of the party as long as u take what u want with you. I paid thinking It would save us so much stress.. or so I thought! I showed up the day before to look at the grounds, and there was leaves and trash around the landscape, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt... but come my wedding day and we go early to set up. The hall was filthy and the grounds was not cleaned up at all!! The staff was rude the entire day and night of my wedding. Especially when we asked if they were going to clean the grounds.. they said that it's the best they could do; but there was trash, leaves and beaches everywhere. I didn't see. Single thing different that could even be seen as the smallest amount of effort to clean the grounds or hall. I think to myself, "well what did I pay all that money for!!" When I arrived in my dress I went inside the hall to take pictures and all I did was lay my train down to grab the loop to make It easier to carry.. I lift up my dress and It is black all underneath and on the sides!!! I was so mad (and the stains from the filthy dirt is still there after I got It cleaned btw.) I hated my wedding day mainly because of that place! It sucks because every girl dreams of their special day. I'm so glad I got to marry such a wonderful man, but everyday It haunts me.. I wish I never had my wedding at heeia. Ruined the experience of my own wedding. #needaRedoWedding read more

Got married here, great pricing, beautiful views, clean banquet hall and restroom, large parking lot, they provide chairs, tables, and cleanup for a small extra cost, the overall price was great, and I love all the cats they have! read more

Kama'aina Kids is a local, not-for-profit, multi-service organization dedicated to serving children and their families. Specifically here at He'eia State Park, Kama'aina Kids runs childcare day programs during the summer. These programs give children the chance to explore Kaneohe Bay in a safe, fun and educational manner. As a venue for events, we have no vendor or noise restrictions. We also do not require a licensed bartender. In our relaxed atmosphere you have the flexibility to decorate and celebrate your event as you'd wish.

The banquet hall is a pretty big room, and has a very beautiful view of Kaneohe Bay. The day we went, the weather was very clear and beautiful. You could see all of the bay and the Marine Corps Base Hawaii as well. The banquet hall is very spacious for any of your special events. I had the hesitation to book it due to the fact my son is on the spectrum and wasn't sure how he was going to react during the experience. Took the chance and made a reservation through Hawaii Ocean Sports. They took us on a boat to access the beautiful Sandbar. It's nestled in the middle of the ocean 3 miles stretch of sand. Unfortunately, we ended up doing the afternoon tour where high tides took place water level up to our necks. During our ride there, we were served lunch consisting of a turkey sandwich, fruits, and a cookie. Very filling as we were on to our destination while we listened to live music entertaining us along the way. Snacks, towels, drinks, and a bar are available for additional cost. As we approached the Sandbar, we were required to do a brief safety class before heading into the beautiful water. My kids and I were surprised how magnificent the Sandbar was. Definitely a true paradise where our dreams came true. I didn't think I would ever experience this kind of beauty. My son and I were terrified at first as we entered the water, but our life jackets saved us as we were floating. Lots of activities offered which are part of the package including SUP, kayaking, volleyball, snorkeling, or relaxing at the dock while sipping on drinks. We mainly enjoyed ourselves floating in the ocean. The current did get a little rough as it started to pour rain right before heading back to the marina. One advice is to head out early onto the boat before everyone does because the changing and bathrooms can get wet with dirty grounds. Music was blasting with great hits as we ended the day. Made my son and I stand up desiring to dance. Truly this is an unforgettable magical experience. You bet I will make a reservation again when we return to Oahu next year!
