Heiberger is amazing! I worked with them on a recommendation from a friend, had Frank and Beatriz on my deal. I never do reviews on yelp but this was such a great experience that I am taking the time to do so. They went above and beyond what I expected from counsel in closing on my condo purchase. This was my first real estate buy and I did not use a broker, but Heiberger basically acted as my broker throughout the whole thing, helping me put together board pack, reviewing financing documents, negotiating with seller, etc. I could not have asked for more from them. Overpriced and undercommunicative. I'm not saying the firm didn't do its job in terms of due diligence regarding the co-op we were buying into. But there was no single point of contact at the firm for us, which was bewildering. And when we set up power of attorney, simply for the convenience of other parties to the transaction, Heiberger & co. didn't mention that it would cost us $500. This was stated in the fine print of the retainer agreement we had signed three months earlier, but we were not reminded of this fact. We ended up feeling that we really would have needed a lawyer to help us deal with our lawyers... If I were you, I would look elsewhere for representation. read more
