I usually reach for a dark roast from a local place in WA, but man, I'm impressed by the smoothness and golden-roasted flavor and finish of their signature blend. What we received was room temp at best, milk foam was very loose with nothing but huge bubbles (not silky at all) and no latte art that is the norm. It tasted "okay" but highly diluted with little coffee flavor. The doctor's office actually recommended this cafe the last time that I came to see them. My initial impression was great. They have very comfortable chairs and large tables for people to do whatever they need to get done. I sat down with the matcha latte that came with their authentic house honey matcha. I was handed an actual ceramic coffee mug, not some paper cup that they chain coffee stores give you. I killed some time and it was a decent experience without the crazy crowds of customers and super loud music that always gets on my nerves. I much prefer the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it. To the people who bought this place, I know your motto is "different is better," but please stop taking that so literally. You do not have to change every aspect of this place to make it different. The best thing about getting your everyday local coffee is seeing the same baristas you've seen over and over again, familiar faces who know you by name. This was one of those places where I'd hate to admit how much money I've spent here, and I did it happily. In just three weeks, our beloved spot, one I would willingly drive out of my way for, has gone so far downhill that I barely recognize it. From the eyesore taco warmer that practically knocks you in the face while you're ordering, replacing a space that once showcased lovely things like fresh flowers and local trinkets, to the disappearance of the wonderful local treats from Sinfull Bakery that kids genuinely enjoyed. At first I thought maybe you were just out, but after three weeks it became clear that expenses were being cut across the board and those items may never come back. And where do I even begin. The new oat milk is terrible. It completely changes the look and taste of the coffee and is immediately noticeable. I won't harp on the change of hours or the change in flavor of your coffee beans, but I feel it must be mentioned because, well, it's noticeable. And now the cleanliness. Spilled taco sauce all over the floor, and when your kid points it out, you know you're in trouble at that point. Dishes piled so high they're overflowing, dirty restrooms. And to be clear, this isn't the staff's fault, there is simply not enough staff to keep up with these things. Never ever in seven years of being a frequent visitor has it been this bad. I also noticed the new coffee packaging, and it's just another reminder that the heart and thoughtfulness that once defined this place are gone. At this rate I half expect robots handing me my latte in a few weeks so you can save a few more bucks. And getting rid of Toast. Even if Toast was an expensive platform to use, it was legitimately so convenient. And dang, if you're going to do away with it, don't replace it with the worst possible ordering system ever, one that doesn't even work. Do you know how many orders I wouldn't have placed if it weren't for Toast? Toast made those orders possible when I didn't have time to wait. Without it, I simply wouldn't have ordered. I understand times are tough for many businesses, but you all were booming. The new online ordering system doesn't work. You may as well do away with it altogether because this one just isn't it. Honestly, I am devastated. You knocked it out of the park in every area, cleanliness, service, food. I never had a single bad item on the menu. The coffee was beyond. When my family moved out of the city a year and a half ago, I still drove 35 minutes one way just to get your food and coffee, over an hour round trip again and again. I don't think you understand how this new direction has driven this place into the ground in a matter of three weeks. Sadly all good things must come to an end.

The classic "they're building a coffee shop in the parking lot of the coffee shop." For a specialty coffee enthusiast like me, it does not rate highly. I tried a turbo, their "specialty" and a drip. And disliked both. The turbo tasted like a chocolate milk with lots of ice. The drip was a darker roast to start, resulting in an unpleasant charcoal water flavor profile, needing milk and sugar to balance out the tds. Drunk black, not to my liking.

The scrambled eggs were more flavorful than probably any scrambled eggs I've ever had at a restaurant. I also ordered the horchata with a shot of espresso, as I heard that was pretty popular, but it was just okay. It wasn't too packed at 9:30 on a Saturday, and the outside seating was really pleasant. I would definitely come back.
