I had a matcha boba tea, it tasted good but the matcha flavor was too subtle. If you like matcha you know when they didn't put enough matcha in the drink. That being said, I liked how I could choose the sugar level. They had a cute little swing inside and liked the atmosphere. They have many table games too, although when we tried two of them, they either were missing parts of had broken parts and we could not play. read more

I ordered a Taro Cream Tea (extra sweet) and it tasted really good! The cashier mentioned they had vegetable egg rolls available, so I decided to add that to my order but after confirming, she realized they were actually out of them. Later, I received a survey from the store, and after completing it, I got a text saying they don't carry vegetable egg rolls at all... It seems the employees might not be fully aware of the menu items, which could have been an honest mistake on the cashier's part. You can buy food to eat and a drink frequently, versus other boba shops where you come in as a treat. This place, come daily for your fixes and let's keep them in business! I love Teahouse and it is my usual go-to boba place but this location has almost always disappointed me (the few times I've been here). I was trying to avoid this location but unfortunately this was the only one that was on the way to where I was going. I was really hoping this time would be different since it's been more than a year since I last came here. They almost never answer the phone, in fact, every time I have called, they have never answered. I called a few minutes before reaching to place a phone order so I can pick it up quickly, but no one answered (as usual). There was actual only 1 other customer in the whole store so they were clearly not too busy to answer. I ordered the peach melon tea press with boba and split cup. They charge $1 extra for splitting the drink into two cups which is pretty normal across all of their locations. But at least the other locations give you a reasonable amount of boba per drink. I could literally count how much boba was in each drink here so that's how few they gave. And they used the kids cups for the split cups instead of the usual small cups that the other locations use. When I asked why I recieved two kids cups, which are smaller than the "small" cups, I was told that those are the cups that they always use. Overall, I would probably choose any other Teahouse location to visit than this one. read more

Teahouse is a classic Houston staple, and always brings me back to my childhood! I went to the location in the Heights for a little pick me up during my lunch break, and it was just as good as I remembered! The interior of the place was super clean and modern, and there were lots of seats everywhere so it's perfect for doing work or wanting to sip and chill! They also have a little swing near the entrance which is a cute touch! I will say the music was a little too loud so it might not be the best environment for studying, but it's still super cozy! The service was nice! The person working at the front was very sweet and patient while I was thinking about what to order. She was also super fast when making my drink and she even let me bring in my lunch so I could eat too which was very sweet and thoughtful. I ordered a classic taro milk tea with boba, and it tasted just like my childhood. The milk tea wasn't too sweet but also sweet enough that it felt like a treat, and the boba was chewy and not undercooked at all. Overall, a very nice experience! Teahouse is probably not the best boba place in Houston, but it's definitely one of the most consistently good places that will always satisfy a boba craving. I've been going to Teahouse for 15+ years since I first had it at the location in the Hong Kong City Mall, and it's always delicious. This is my favorite boba spot around the Heights area. I usually get the green apple gree tea with mixed fruit jelly (they don't skimp) and they never make it too sweet even at 100% sweetness. Sweetness is adjustable for those that prefer less sugar. They also have food items like popcorn chicken and eggrolls that you can pair with your tea if you're feelin extra snackish. When pulling in I was surprised first by how small the parking lot was. For so many businesses in one section I would think the parking lot would be able to hold more cars. I had to wait for a spot which took about 10 mins. Once I walked inside I was surprised again by the amount of people in line. I believe I had nine people ahead of me. I have been a long term fan of Teahouse as I had visited several throughout Houston, however this was my first time visiting this location. When I first came in, it was empty and should a beautiful set up. I can for a busy study day while preparing for my medical boards and was happy and the quite ambiance. After a few hours, it got a little rowdier as teenagers and some families took pictures on the swing with their tea, but it wasn't overly distracting. The tea was great. I just went with a milk tea and mango poppers. Their was only a few tables but a large, taller table that I sat at. Outlets were close but, again, it wasn't busy. Staff were nice and the bathrooms were clean. All in all, no major complaints. It was beautiful inside, definitely Instagram-able. I liked the tea. And enough study space when it's not busy, perfect for a chiller work day. I think if you really need to concentrate, I would choose another coffee shop nearby. read more

I finally made it to this Teahouse location. I love Teahouse (favorite location still remains the one on Shepherd and Westheimer though). My regular orders are the #1 (the classic black cream team), honeydew cream tea (if you are in the mood for something sweet), and wintermelon cream tea (wintermelon tea is herbal, so no caffeine), always with tapoica. They also have a watermelon cream blend that is more like a smoothie that is delicious, but I recommend skipping the tapoica in the frozen drinks, since the tapoica isn't as good frozen (texture is off). I've also had the sweet potato fries at a different Teahouse location, and they were excellent. (But haven't had them here yet.) When I came, their card machine was only taking tap, cash, and Apple Pay (and maybe some other option I am forgetting - I think swipe or chip was working but not both), so just be aware if you have a credit card like mine that is very finickying about the tap option. Obviously we love mangoes The parking is free in the private lot that the shop is located in although it can sometimes be tough to find parking on the weekends. The one thing that could really use some improvement is the customer service. The past three times I've ordered drinks from here, they've gotten my name completely wrong on the cup. Stanley, Dayle & Amy all sound NOTHING like Bailey. It's very confusing when they're busy calling out lots of drink names then have to scramble to figure out which one is mine. It's also really disrespectful of the employees to make sassy remarks at me when I mention to them that they got my name completely wrong. I've worked in customer service for 10+ years and it's not difficult to ask for a name spelling if you don't hear properly or to apologize for getting it wrong. None of that ever occurs. What a great location! Easy access, lots of parking, and several other hot places to check out in this strip center. My go to for a non-caffeinated order is their strawberry cream blend with tapioca; otherwise I do a standard milk tea with boba or the hazelnut coffee with boba. Clearly I have to have my boba fix! I've never seen such cute options: they have passion fruit dolphins, lychee bears, strawberry hearts, and more. The dolphins were really tasty but I ended up getting hearts in my Jasmine Green Cream Tea. I also love that they have baby tapioca in addition to the regular size. Anyway, loved my tea as well as my boyfriend's Taro Coconut Cream Tea. They also sell food (snacks, really) which isn't something I've seen at boba shops before. Yay! Finally a boba in the Heights. So....I ran in there for a milk tea boba. My go to comfort boba when I am not feeling well. The staff is amazingly friendly. And the place is so darn quaint. I literally was planning my next visit before I left. There are board games and a cute swing. (Pic included). This isn't stuff like missing utensils that can be chalked up to an error on behalf of the app or the delivery person. I usually go to the one in River Oaks and have never had a bad experience. I got the strawberry cream blend here and it was virtually flavorless, as you can tell by the color. Your drink will come out shitty and theres nothing you can do about it because their employees got hella attitude and wont give you a refund and will make you a shitty remake. google review: I don't think they know what they're doing tbh. On the rewards app, if I have enough points for a free drink it usually includes free toppings as well. I ordered a mango cream blend 0% sweet and the concentrate they used is definitely not the same as other locations. Everything is completely different. It's like a bootleg Teahouse. I asked for a refund and they said no, so I exchanged it for a vanilla cappuccino which is usually blended, they came out with an iced drink, I said that's not what I ordered, and the girl was like "well I already gave you a drink" like hello??? What does that even mean lmaooo. I don't even want an exchange drink bc Ik it's gonna be a shitty drink. I just want my refund cause this drink is not worth squat and the vanilla cappuccino concentrate isnt the same as the rest of the stores. It's watery and ass as well. My boyfriend and I have been getting Teahouse as our weekly sweet treat for a while now. We were delighted to find a closer Teahouse by his place thanks to Uber Eats. When we stopped by several times, I definitely noticed that this location is more IG pic worthy than the other two Teahouse spots I used to frequently visit. It's difficult to pull off and I don't necessarily recommend it, but when you're on vacation, sometimes ya just gotta live and let live. This place had a ton of different options and is definitely a spot I would be frequenting very consistently if I lived in the area. My favorite three boba tea flavors are taro, coconut and mango - I usually just go with one of those three, depending on what mood I'm in that day. When I say a taro coconut cream blend on the menu, I knew it was destiny. Anytime you can combine two of your three favorite things together, it's a win. And it turned out great! The best part about TTT was that there were a ton of options on the menu that had me very heavily tempted to stray from the norm and try something new.
