Well, we came to the bar in the hotel, so that is what this review is about…read more
When we ALL left the Opera house and ALL requested an Uber at the same time, with the Uber dynamic pricing, it was too expensive! So I decided to get a drink.
Quality/Quantity -
Wanted a nightcap after our concert at the Sydney Opera House. Not sure why but there were so few places open...? You would think that the businesses would want to earn a few extra $$ after a concert? Or was it because it was a Wednesday night?
Well, I was glad this place was open. Good local drafts, 12 choices.
I got the Pirate Life IPA, why not, I was on the water, LOL.
I believe they also have food during the day. Appetizers, salad, pizza, taco, sandwiches, etc.
Atmosphere - Small bar in the hotel. I think it is a good location.
Outdoor and indoor seating, but it was cold, so no one was outside.
Private events are also available.
Open 7 days a week from 10am to 3am (or close).
Service - Okay.
Discounts for locals in the same trade.
Price - No idea, as I just wanted another drink while waiting for the Uber prices to drop.
My wife was ready to go home, and was willing to pay the inflated Uber price.
I was willing to get another beer and wait it out.
I lost... We left after only one beer.
BTW - 10% surcharge on Sundays and holidays. I have seen this in a few places/businesses.
Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, it is good to see you cater to both the tourist and locals. Good business model.
