Not a lot of people outside Houston even know it exists. But it has some really cool people attending and some good professors as well as a really nice campus in the most liberal District of Houston. NOTE: This review is about the library only…read more First time visiting. The library is available to non-HCC students and the wifi is free and fast. You must, however, check-in first to use their facility. There are study rooms and several desks with low privacy barriers available. The library is on the 3rd floor with an extension to the 4th floor. It's very quiet with nice city views. It's open daily except Sundays. On the first floor, there's a small cafe that serves Starbucks coffee. There are vending machines and microwaves available as well. One downside is there aren't a lot of outlets in the library area. Street parking is available. Not sure how it is when school is in session.

I'm a 57 year-old black man who's been disabled I have spent $2000 into this college to take three steps forward and three steps back because of my stature I have not gotten any help from professors or of the associate dean of students from the NW College. I would strongly urge students who want to go to this newfound for your college, not go. It is discriminating. It is gender ism on how the way the students not only feel but how they have been treated. This university needs to be seriously streamline. Advisors are very rude. They miss inform students as well as the chair people of the Higher administration and conducting and supporting professors who are passionate, but not giving them the tools or the students to succeed and which is really sad because the next generation they have no support I've got no support and no avail and I've decided to move forward with another accredited university so I strongly urge you don't go to this university I've wasted four semesters and good hard earned money that I put out in my pocket that I won't be getting back. My food card would deactivate randomly and I would go days without food, my card for the garage would malfunction and I would be locked in the garage because of this, I had my belongings stolen from roommates that I was paired with and when I made a report they did nothing about it, I moved into their dorms only to move in with an old friend of mine, and they went out of their way to make sure I did not get a dorms with him even though all the requirements were met. This school struggles in the class departments too, I have had the displeasure of meeting quite a few nasty professors and find it disheartening for all the students here. I was charged for 2 years of dormitory and a meal plan even though I was only there for one and when I went to dispute the charge they simply ignored my email and then sent me an email to pay it back and said it was to late to dispute the charges. I honestly recommend no one goes to this location for their schooling and I hope this school finds new management because it is just a money hungry organization that does not care about its students.

The graduate classes costs about $1100 a class and range between 3-7 week sessions. The plus is that there are some great teachers (even though most of them fly down from Dallas) Overall, I have enjoyed the majority of my experiences in the program and would recommend it to others.

Parking: You can park at the Rice football stadium and catch a five minute FREE shuttle or park closer in any of the numerous parking garages in the Medical Center. Shuttles run about every five minutes and my experience saw two of us on the outbound shuttle with just three of us on the return trip. Wait: I stood outside, under a roofline to avoid the rain, in a line of about 10 people. It took 5-10 minutes to get to the front of the line. Process: When it's your turn, they wave you in and check you in. MAKE SURE to complete your forms before you arrive. It lets you "jump the line" by 2-4 people just by spending 5 minutes at home filling them out. Next, you show ID and insurance, answer 2 questions and you are ready for your shot. The shot is quick and simple then you go rest for 10-15 minutes. It's a self-monitored area so you can leave whenever you choose. Quick shuttle back to the stadium and you're done. About 45 total minutes of which half was riding a shuttle or waiting to enter the building. By the way, it's the Pfizer shot AND they automatically schedule you for the second dose right then. You just come back and do it all over again.
