One has retired from practicing law, and the other is now working with the public defender's office and can no longer accept private clients. They have been together since 1979. So what this means is all of his property, to include the home, legally belonged his children and not his wife. Ain't that something? Little to say the relationship between my grandpa and his children was basically nonexistent. Mr. Stein was able to locate them and send them legal paperwork providing them with the ability to waive their right to his property. The way Mr. Stein explained the process to the children was straightforward to the point. The paperwork was signed and returned so Mr. Stein's office file the paperwork with the courts and all is well that ends well.
