I was able to arrange a ride from Lanai Airport to the Lanai Car Rental in center of town on a Friday morning, and then from the de Brums Lanai (Airbnb cottage) back to the airport on a Sunday mid-day, and Alberta has a great personality and excellent customer service! Lanai Taxi is one of only two main transportation services on the Pineapple Isle. Best to text Alberta with the desired dates, times, and locations that you are looking to be picked up on. Also, from my personal experience, when it comes to Mokulele Airlines flights into Lanai, it is very helpful to text her when your interisland flight is actually boarding and departing (she will only head to the airport when confirmation is provided due to the number of flight delays that occur), and again when deplaning and claiming your luggage at Lanai Airport. She accepts cash or Venmo. The next time I can make it out to Lanai, I will definitely contact Alberta and Lanai Taxi!

Our driver was friendly and gave a bit of history of the island on the way to Lana'i city. We chose not to extend our trip as we had enough time for our planned excursion, but he gave us his card and instructions for how easy it would be for flexible rescheduling for extended time if we wished. He also told us about some things to do and where to go if we wanted to stay a bit longer. Overall it was a relaxing, safe, anxiety free experience on an island with very limited options! We requested all experienced male drivers, and 3 brand new luxury SUV's. We drove in tactical formation non stop from Kahului to a private Villa on Makena Beach in Kihei. Lebron and his wife in the lead SUV. son and girlfriend in the second SUV. All the luggage and our security detail in the third SUV. CB Taxi drivers did all the work, took the luggage from the plane into the SUV, from the SUV into the beach house. It was like having a backup security detail helping us out. They also charged $400 for a one way pickup for another family member on our hotel bill, while separately charging $120 for the taxi they utilized for the service (double charged). They then show up when we're leaving as if to suggest we didn't cancel. I think this is outrageous behavior operating a business like bandits.... maybe hopeful unsuspecting patrons won't scrutinize their bill. Anyway a 5 star service from CB Taxi! Highly recommend- Jonah was an excellent driver, courteous, and polite.

On very short notice, read: two hours, I called Ly at West Maui Taxi and requested several taxis to 4 disparate locations with specific pick up times. West Maui Taxi was able to turn around and book everything for me in under 30 minutes. I was able to organize payment so my guests didn't have to worry about that, the drivers also shared their contact information with the riders in case they needed return journeys at the end of the night. My guests said the drivers were all super friendly, and the whole experience lovely and smooth. The whole process was done via one phone call and a couple texts; Ly is incredibly efficient and friendly! I highly recommend West Maui Taxi, what a great experience!
