The staff there are nice/friendly and every time I come for a cleaning, they do a thorough job and answer all my questions. They even clean your night guard for you if you request it, just tell them at the beginning of the visit so you don't need to wait around for it. The office is clean. And another bonus if you care is that the bathrooms on the floor have bidets. What's interesting for me at least is that everytime I go, I have had a different person tend to me. I really appreciate the front desk staff who are patient with me when it comes to scheduling my appointments as my schedule changes often and have to reschedule due to my work. They will also send you text reminder so you don't forget about your appt as time gets closer. Only other thing is that they used to have weekend opening but due to staffing they're hours are a little more limited now. Highly recommend checking them out!

I was seen by Dr. Maddalena on a Saturday morning due to severe pain in my lower right jaw. We had…read morenever met, but his assessment of my condition as forwarded by another dentist (Dr. Defillipis, who shares a partnership with Dr. Maddalena and my long-time provider, was not on call). He did, however contact Dr. Maddalena on my behalf. So, via a three party association, he agreed to see me immediately. He discovered and corrected an error made by a VA dentist the day prior. He performed a route canal that very morning and prescribed an alternate antibiotic. He also provided several packages of two over the counter medications he judged to be most effective for any post-procedural and infection induced pain. He is a consummate professional and treated me with the care I needed based on medical necessity and not on the basis of a prior relationship. He directed me to call his cell phone later in the day to assure the measures taken were effective and called me on a Sunday morning to verify the continuing decrease of symptoms. His actions reflect the importance of his perceived responsibility to render care when needed.

Brought my kids (8 & 6) to Dr. Koffman for the first time yesterday. They absolutely loved her…read more They never liked going to the dentist before; to the point my 6 year old told her last dentist point blank, "I don't like you". When we left, they were both smiling and said Dr. Lina was great. They especially loved "Mr. Thirsty", the suction funnel. Dr. Koffman had amazing bedside manners to put both kids at ease and she explained everything clearly and patiently to us the parents on what issues were present and what she recommended without unnecessary aggressive procedures. The office is in the process of being renovated and what a difference between old and new space. The room where my kids were seen was bright, modern, and spacious. The back part of the office seemed like something that would not look out of place in "That 70's Show". Overall, we are extremely happy we switched and have no reservations recommending Dr. Koffman.

I went back for a cleaning & they talked me into spending $900 out of pocket for perio trays, which were going to heal my gums, and "push the gel up into the gums" I used the trays but never saw any improvement. Went back to a previous dentist that was in network & now closer to where I moved. They asked me when my last cleaning was, and I said March of 2024. They said that some of my build up was black, meaning it has been there for quite a while and there's no way the previous place did any level of quality cleaning. I told them about the perio trays, and they had never even heard of them and said that it was absolutely impossible for anything to be pushed up into the gums like Art of Smile convinced me the perio trays do. At this time, they referred me to a periodontist for an evaluation because of gum inflammation & bleeding and I had a deep scaling done & gums already feel & look better in TWO WEEKS with 90% less bleeding. Periodontist never heard of Perio trays either. In summary, The Art of Smile: - Didn't do a quality teeth cleaning - Wasted $900 dollars out of pocket for something that wasn't even capable of what they claimed - Never mentioned that they didn't take my insurance, so everything was taken out of my small out of network amount - Didn't inform me of the level of my gum issue - Didn't refer me to a periodontist or recommend a deep cleaning - Had to chase them for months for a receipt for FSA - which disabled my card for months, then couldn't even provide me with an itemized receipt (HOW?) - There was a small space between two of my teeth, AOS told me I should just replace both teeth to fill in the gap. That gap was caused by my gum inflammation and will close as my gums heal after the deep scaling. - When I complained to them, they didn't even apologize. Just told me they'd remove me from their list & have a good day. All of these things, allowed my condition to worsen. This practice is absolutely deplorable, and the fact that you can't hold any of these horrible places accountable is astonishing. I don't ever write reviews, but I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through and waste their time or money.
