I've taken many cooking classes and this is the first one that has taught me the origins of the food as well as provided an in-depth class about how to use food to better my health. We learned a term called "mother" and it's importance to the process of sourdough break making. I'll let you learn more about that when you take the class. I've already signed up to take the class again because I know I missed things trying to take in all the information. I also look forward to partaking in all the other classes, services, and product offerings as I make the spa part of my self care plan.

The staff was amazing in helping understand what to expect, highly communicative leading up to our rental day and really informative on how to best enjoy and get the most out of our sauna experience. The set up was amazing with a fully self sufficient unit and honestly a steel at the price. We all had an amazing time sweeting out our toxins and learning the benefits of sauna with the team at GASaunas. One of the guys on the retreat liked it so much he tried to buy the rig from them and has now ended up working with the owner on building a custom sauna at his house rather than just saying no; top notch service A+++, would and will rent from GASaunas again! I was informed to bring white socks in order to walk on the salt and to wear comfortable clothing. She gave me the address and was able to reschedule my appointment once I found out that the location was a bit of a distance from my home and my work. The actual Salt Room is located in the residence of the owner. While that did not make me uncomfortable, it may be a consideration for others. The owner is a warm, delightful and knowledgeable woman who created her breathing spa after personally benefiting from salt therapy. The location is clean and well maintained. The owner was able to give me information about salt therapy and it's benefits while making no guarantees. I was shown to a small area where I was able to take off my shoes and put on my white socks. I had to leave my electronics and personal items outside of the room. Inside the salt room, there are about 6 zero gravity chairs. I was given a warm, comfortable blanket and my chair was reclined so that I was laying back comfortably. My session was very relaxing, and I may have fallen asleep. At the end of the session, the owner came in and asked me about my experience. While I was putting my shoes on and gathering my personal items, she shared some session packages that will allow you to save money on visits. There is even a senior citizen price. I enjoyed this experience, although I don't think that I will return simply due to the distance, I would need to travel from my home or work.

Went in for my first halotherapy session today and will definitely be back. I've struggled my…read morewhole life with asthma and when I get a cold, it almost always moves to my chest and I have a lingering cough for weeks on end. I could feel that I was breathing so much easier after just one session (45 minutes). You go into a relaxing dimly lit room where the floor is made up entirely of himalayan rock salt, then you will relax on a zero gravity recliner and a blanket (temperature in the room is around 66 F for best absorption of the salt. They then pipe in finely ground salt for inhalation while you relax and reap the benefits. They also sell salt inhalers (YAY) and salt lamps, so I'm going to be back to buy one of each once they have them back in stock (they are very popular, so they sell out quickly). The owner is very nice and explained how she started the spa after trouble with COPD and how the salt has helped her recover from that.

She used her forearms and sometimes the bottom of her palm, and she rubbed the same way the whole time.  So basically, it was the equivalent to when u use that massage rolling pin at the gym. She kept leaving the room during the massage, and I didn't get that time back. 1st, she left to fix the toilet from running,  and she didn't wash her hands! 2nd, she left bc the CD playing the music stopped. 3rd, she left to go answer the phone. It was supposed 2 b a full body massage, yet she only did the backside of my body. Also, I don't think there's a sauna as advertised. She didn't seem to know anything about it,  but when I kept asking, she said it "might" not be working. There was actually more disaster, but these are the highlights.
