I preferred the one that closed, but this place surprised me. Before going, I was told they have reclining seats. I thought this meant standard movie theatre seats that had a bit of a sliding action so you reclined a little bit. Nope. These are full on padded reclining seats that get you at about a 30-45 degree angle. There is plenty of room between your feet and the seat in front of you, so if someone has to use the bathroom or get up, it's not really an issue. There are cup holders, of course, and because it's now made for comfort, a screen does not hold as many people as it used to. It's somewhat drab when you first walk in. On a slow night they handle tickets at the concession counter. With business not being what it used to be, what were shelves that held theatre candy at either end of the concession stand are now just used for storage. It's a shame no one could be bothered to dress it up a bit. It's just a cozy little place with a few screens. The experience itself was great. The sound was blasting, the screen was big, and the chair was comfy. The popcorn was pretty salty, but hey. It's theater popcorn. This has to be the preferred place for any of us where I live. I fully endorse it. Don't expect anything fancy. It's a small theatre in a small town, and the company clearly expects to stick around for a while if they've invested in the seating. GO! GO! GO!

Had an absolute blast attending the second night of the LCF17. We went to see Fortune Feimster at…read morethe Buskirk. The opening acts were hilarious too. Fortune had everyone laughing and her interaction with the audience was great. After the show she sold her own merch in the lobby, signed autographs and posed for photos. This was our first time attending the Limestone Comedy Fest and we are hooked. Looking forward to next year. Thinking getting the multi-show pass next year would be a great idea.

The goal of the event it to get people (especially new IU students) to know about the many independent restaurants that are located next to campus. A great concept and a fun event. What is Great: 1) Music - the live world music was great! 2) Food - I loved being able to try items that I had not had before, I trying new items at old favorite restaurants will greatly increase my patronage as I know more of what I can get, move craves = more visits, 3) Restaurant Entry - I liked that for some of the restaurants, you had to enter the building to go to the food - it was a good mix of on the street and in the restaurant, 4) Beer/Wine Tent - I didn't patron it but it looked like they had a nice selection, 5) Safety - the organizers did a great job laying out an emergency plan, there was a brief note on the 'program' to let us all know what to do in the event of a emergency - rad, 6) Volunteers - I feel like I spotted a lot of event volunteers - and volunteers make every event better! Room for Improvement: 1) Better Name - I heard a LOT of people referring to this as '4th Street Fest' - which is a completely different event entirely - there is a branding issue here - I think words like 'international' and 'independent' are more important than the location, 2) Ticket Price - I understand that the point of this event is to get students to know about the restaurants but with an entry of $5 for students and a whopping $10 for everybody else, the price bias is just crazy - I think the double fee for those who are not students is a great way to make enemies, I mean, you are basically asking non-students to not come...which is crazy, 3) Participation - I was a little bummed out that some of the restaurants didn't participate, 4) Marketing - I could have used a Facebook event or just more direct awareness coming from the BIRA FB page.

This is the only private club in Bloomington and over 500 families are members there.  I have…read moreplayed golf there several times too.  After high school I was briefly the lifeguard in the "old pool". One of my good friends was an avid golfer, lived there and was a life long member and former President of the club.  Some of my family are members too.  Nice course, nice pool, very nice clubhouse.  People need to realize that the focus of the management is serving the members and their guests. The food is great and the staff is friendly and attentive -I enjoy dinner there anytime I get a chance to go. I especially love their filet mignon and their drinks.  It is good value for your money. If you want to connect to old money or new money Bloomington-this is the place you should be-so get invited by a member or join.

At each tent they sell ethnic food from the respective country. This year the featured country was India. I especially love this event because you get to try a bit of different foods from different countries. This year I tried out the Greece booth and had a lamb gyro. It was excellent. There is also a Biergarten serving beers/wines from the different countries. In the back of the expo there were tents set up with merchandise for purchase. I hope in the years to come they continue expanding and more countries are represented. You can definitely get a taste of a few ethnicities. It's usually located behind the Columbus city hall so you will have to find a spot in the free parking downtown and walk.

It's a…read moreterrific event held since 1984 on the 2nd weekend of October on the streets surrounding City Hall. About 35 food vendors are on site from all sorts of different countries, ethnicity, etc. serving anywhere from 3 - 4 items to a dozen items of amazingly terrific food. There's something for everyone (including a tent dedicated to nothing but desserts. It's something to behold). Each year a different country / ethnicity will host the event. In 2019 India will host and will have featured entertainers (as well as the 1st booth you come to as you head south from downtown Columbus). Speaking of entertainment, it's non-stop on 3 different stages including one inside the biergarten. Many of the booths are sponsored by non-profits who summon volunteers to help with the effort. Always great to see money going to good causes. Additionally, there's southern Indiana's coolest parade at 11 am on Sat. as well as about a dozen non-food vendors. They top it off with fireworks Saturday evening. Just loads of fun.
