The…read moretechnicians leave bare patches/mud ruts with the zero turn mowers as they make turns in place in the wet grass, the lawn regularly has stripes where the grass was "missed," chemical application is unevenly applied as dandelions and other weeds abound, and ragged grass tips reveal that mower blades are rarely sharpened if ever. Perhaps this is not part of our contract, but for as long as I have lived here (10+ years), the lawns have never been aerated, leading to deep thatch and poorly growing grass. For a community where I am not obligated to care for the lawn, I spend an inordinate amount of time attempting to "fix" whatever it is that we are paying Lawn and Shrub to do. Don't get me started on mulch application and edging. Would not recommend.

Shades slice seeding was brought up during a few of these landscape visits so we gave them a call. Cory met us at our house to discuss with us our options. He had so much knowledge and explained all our options to us, he was very detailed and straight forward. We went ahead and did an entire back lawn re-do. They killed what was there, brought in dirt, started treating the soil and slice seeded us. We are two weeks in to the slice seeding and I never thought I could be this excited to see grass. We finally got the yard we wanted, at a very comparable price to other options. Cory and his team took the time to do the job right the first time and not just fast, you can absolutely tell they all take pride in their work, and my new lawn shows that.

The owner and I met winter/spring of 2017 to discuss plans and set a time frame for landscaping my…read moreproperty and yard fertilization. The fertilization treatments started quickly but I hadn't heard anything new about the landscaping project so I began calling/leaving messages weekly in April. By late May I was told the owner was stopping by to refamiliarize himself with the project. I know last year was busy so I waited a few more weeks. After not hearing anything by late June I called 2 more times-more promises on the phone but nothing ever happened. If I'd been told they couldn't do the project or I was just forgotten about I still would have had time to schedule someone to do the work before the season ended. It was a very important project to coincide with some other major improvements I was making at the time. While the fertilization service was fine my overall experience was a huge letdown made worse by the non-responses and broken promises to get back with me. I hate to write a bad review but if someone would have warned me the trouble I'd have to go to just to be lead on like this I would never have hired this company. It's now 2018 and I get an invoice that states service automatically continues unless I request it to end (not a big deal, I'm sure this is normal). So I email them to end service and wait a week-no response. Later I call and am assured a confirmation will be emailed. As I type this it's been 3 full weeks and still no confirmation-the pattern continues...
