Chris gave me a safety brief on how to get in an out of the airplane, which made me feel safe excited to fly. The tour itself was breathtaking. We flew over Downtown Austin, Penny Backer bridge, the Texas State Capital building, Mt. Bonnel, and seeing these parts of Austin from above was incredible. On our recent trip to Austin we thought it would be fun to have a different activity, so we booked…read morea wine tour on the Saturday. I had no idea what to expect from Texas wine, but I was honestly pleasantly surprised. The day started at the Austin Visitor Center where we met with our tour guide and other guests. Then we hopped on our sprinter van and headed about 40 min outside of town to start our tour at Driftwood Winery. I really enjoyed the wines and we ended up purchasing a bottle to enjoy along the tour. Next, we went to Fall Creek Vineyards. This setting was beautiful, but I didn't love the wines as much. I did love that they had plenty of snacks so you could make your own charcuterie board. Snacks are a must when drinking wine all day. Last, we ended closer to the city in the St. Elmo District at Austin Winery. The tour is about $70 and then you pay for your wines at each stop. I had a fabulous time with our tour guide and tour mates. Would reccomend this if you're looking for a day excursion in Austin.
