The minute you step foot, you can feel it running through your body, and you can honestly tell it is a safe place. After doing some exploring in Nyack, something told us to make a left and walk down the road, which is where we found The Open Spirit. We had the pleasure of meeting Jackie, who had such a warm and fun spirit! She greeted us with open arms, engaged in a conversation, and go to know who we were. We've been back numerous times since, and every time Jackie remembers who we are. In fact, the second time we ever went back, was to check out Nyack's street fair. We went to visit Jackie's booth and the minute we stepped foot she told everyone inside that we were the guys from NYC she couldn't stop talking about. It was such a humbling and grateful experience. Every time we visit the shop we meet someone new. We were there about 2 weekends ago, and we met Lisa. Again, another great soul to come across! There are so many wonderful things in this shop that speaks to you. I have purchased a handful of items that are now placed throughout my home. Walking by them I can feel the positive and loving energy from The Open Spirit.

It was disclosed to me within the hour before the meeting, that Orsolya met with my daughter prior to our meeting. This to me was unethical. I felt ambushed in the session. I was going to cancel, but thought that she was a professional and it would be okay. Orsolya did not remotely conduct herself by any means in a professional manner. She actually projected her own wedding situation into the problem that we were having. I am sure this was because, as she said to me "you're not going to like this... I had a destination wedding with only 13 people." She was twisting whatever I was saying and was totally off the mark. An example of this was when I expressed a dislike that my daughter was "allowing" me to invite 3 people. Orsolya responded "So You are unhappy that you will not be able to "show off"..... I was floored. Show Off... I want to share the joy of my daughter's nuptials, with people who are important in my life. This was how the session went. Jaded one way... This was not an intervention. In fact this session took a bad situation, and made it worse. While it is painful for me to share this experience, I feel the need to spare another family from having this same experience. Orsolya has the "Pedigree" , and went to the right schools and programs, but her life experience and professionalism was clearly lacking.
