    RE: Ruined Front Yard and never returned calls for refund, small claims court pending…read more Troy LeJeune has ruined our front yard and won't refund us the money for the project he could not complete. Troy has used high pressure sales tactics to get paid quickly, and will not finish the job correctly. We agreed to hire Troy to lay sod and install flagstone in our front yard of a newly purchased home. While the installation of the sod was almost finished he would keep asking for a cheque. We were hesitant as we wanted to see the end result. We finally gave into his pressure and paid the full amount. The flagstone installation was absolutely awful. His crew has ruined our front yard with dried cement on top of cement. It got so bad that he finally agreed to remove the flagstone. Take a look at the pictures to see what I mean - this is how he left our home. Somehow he thought it was acceptable. Please note: Troy is legally blind - which leads me to question his attention to detail. This was something I found out after agreeing to work with him and pay him for a project that was never completed. His flagstone installation is simply terrible. Please see pictures for how he left our home. He showed zero respect for our property. We finally came to an agreement where Troy would return to our property to remove the flagstone from our front yard. Troy also agreed to refund the money we paid for the flagstone because he wasn't able to install based on the ask. I was very clear that my first choice was to have his team fix the problem - but he told me he couldn't do it. This led to Troy agreeing to refund the portion we paid incrementally for the flagstone work. The good news is that Troy removed the flagstone as promised - but he hasn't refunded us the difference. Troy said he was due to pay a health insurance premium and was running low on cash. The payment would be refunded to us 2 weeks later - I guess Troy was expecting to be paid from another job and needed to make ends meet. I agreed to this in good faith - trusting that Troy would make good on his word. I even waited longer before following up with Troy about the payment - but he never once called me to let me know what was going on. I tried being flexible with him given the situation, but he has just disappeared on us. If Troy would have simply communicated with us we would not be in the position we are now. Troy won't pick up any calls from me, and we are taking him to small claims court. Please be very careful when agreeing to do business with him. Do not give full amount of payment until the job is finished and a proper walk through has been done. He is very pushy when it comes to payment, and will not come back to fix any problems/issues that arise.
