I'm not sure anyone has ever left such a first class customer service impression on my dad. He said Beau was dressed professionally, his equipment was well taken care of, and he obviously cared about doing a great job at very reasonable cost. The carpet looks great and smells clean. The people that work in the office are very nice people, but it's a very unprofessional workplace…read more I can't say anything about their charity, as I was employed as a bell ringer, so this doesn't imply anything about how that is run. I was hired and told that good bell ringers that got more donations were given the most hours. I was fine with that, ready to do my best. My first week went well, so the second week I was scheduled for second days. I was sick, presumably from standing in the cold weather the previous week bell ringing (for minimum wage I should add). I took 3 days off and let them know the reason. After that I was never scheduled again. Instead of phone calls they had resorted to just texting me and had contacted me twice. Once was for a two hour shift that they texted me the same day of. The next one was a longer shift but once again I was contacted the day of. I'm sure that's fine for some people, but not everyone can drop what they are doing and just leave for them. I never got an explanation or a message about as to why I was apparently fired or let go. So now a seasonal job that I really needed for Christmas and for a rising gas bill is out of the picture. Very frustrating company to work for and such a disappointment.

**One star - Do not waste your time or money here**…read more I have had two alterations done by this lady on work pants and she failed to understand what was being asked of her. She was told to make my pants look like a reference pair I brought to her and she assumed all she had to do was alter the hemline, which did not need any changes. Then she was asked at a later time to patch the crotch for two of my favorite jeans and she put stiff stick on patches which she sewed on top, making the area extremely uncomfortable and stiff. When I told her that she did a subpar job, she got offended, didn't charge me and sent me on my way, directly or with the help of her son or husband, it's hard to tell, who also has a crappy attitude. My suggestion is: fix your own or take it somewhere else. This place is a rip-off and a scam. Do not trust this lady with your clothes. She does not care about your satisfaction or quality. She only cares about making money off of you. Stay away from k&a alterations and find a better service elsewhere.
