I have received care at several Emerson Healthcare locations over the years, and I find that most…read moreof the doctors and staff are consistently focused on their patients' comfort, well-being, and quality of care. Emerson Hospital in Concord has the advantage of offering a wide range of departments supported by outstanding doctors and staff. In my experience, they have always been polite, professional, and personable. The Naka Infusion Center is fantastic. They provide each patient with a sense of privacy and comfort while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. The staff cannot do enough to help, and they maintain a terrific attitude throughout what can often be a difficult medical process. My only gripe would be the time it sometimes takes for the pharmacy to mix and prepare medications. However, when I consider all the people they serve--not only those at the Naka Center, but also patients throughout the hospital, its satellite locations, and the outpatient community--I realize how fortunate I am to be served by such a dedicated healthcare system. Regarding Emerson Westford, that is a more difficult place about which to be complimentary. I have experienced inordinately long waits for lab work and X-rays, and I have found some of the physicians there to be less attentive than what I have come to expect from Emerson. It is the only Emerson location I have visited that I have decided not to return to unless absolutely necessary. Emerson Littleton, on the other hand, has been incredibly efficient and effective, with short wait times, friendly receptionists, and professional medical care. My favorite location for medical attention and care is my local Emerson Center in Groton. The receptionists and administrative staff make you feel genuinely welcome. The nurses sincerely care about their patients, and the doctors, PAs, and NPs are, by far, among the best healthcare professionals I have encountered. To further support patient care, Groton also offers on-site lab and X-ray services, making the experience both convenient and comprehensive. Overall, while no healthcare system is perfect and there is room for improvement at some locations, my experience with Emerson Healthcare has been overwhelmingly positive. The compassion, professionalism, and dedication shown by most of its doctors, nurses, and staff have made a meaningful difference in my life, and I consider myself fortunate to have access to such high-quality care in our community.

The office staff is consistently thorough here. Checkin and reviewing lab tests are good…read more The phlebotomists have been uncaring and the past handful of times I've been there. The ladies in the lab made fun of me as I was leaving bc I told them they hurt my arm this time and last time. I saw them mock my arm words and distress which I did not appreciate it even though they had a busy day with patients and were complaining about how late they would leave that day as they were prepping me for labs. It's inconsistent with the level of care Emerson provides in all other areas of patient care.

Was not happy with my experience with Dr. Liu. I have PCOS and when I went to the "highly…read morerecommended" endocrinologist in my area, I was not happy with what I got. The wait for her to come into the room was a good hour. When we finally met her she seemed very distant and not concerned with what I was trying to say. She said all my problems would be fixed if I stayed on Jenny Craig (not cheap!) and went on birth control. I have excess hair growth due to testosterone levels double what they should be. I told her that I had been getting electrolysis done for about five months, with no sign of a decrease in hair. She didn't even look to see the areas of growth! I had read up on this disease before my appointment and most people with the same symptoms as me were prescribed metformin or spironolactone (on regulates sugar levels and weight loss and the other regulates hair growth) along with a form of birth control to regulate my cycle and my hormones. She told me I was too young to be on any meds (20 y.o.) but yet this condition could lead to infertility! I understand weight loss helps significantly but I was on Jenny paying hundreds of dollars a week with little progress. You can't loose weight when the chemical compositions in your body are programming it to hold onto the sugars and turn it to fat! She then sent me down for blood work at noon when by that time I had obviously already had breakfast and coffee. The receptionist down at the blood work center downstairs was just the icing on the cake for my awful experience. As he rolled his eyes at me and looked at me as if I had seven heads for thinking I could get blood work done after eating, when I was only listening to the doctors instructions. Both my mother and I left in an awful mood and immediately started looking for another doctor for a second opinion. Anyone else with similar problems go to Michael Gordon MD at Beverly hospital in Danvers. Although I had to wait 6 months for an appointment, it was worth the wait because he is the BEST. Helped me with all my needs, looked at the hair growth, scheduled proper blood work, and put me on the needed prescriptions. He couldn't believe the advice dr. Liu had given me.
