There was. Family bluegrass band playing on the bandstand. Plenty of nice locals greater us and were extremely friendly. Soft guitar music playing while all the beautiful foliage surrounds all the various kiosks. Like something out of Pinterest. I feel like the photos don't do the actual experience justice. Overall, I thought the stalls were decently priced and we bought a lot of items ranging from fresh beets, garlic, mixed greens, to fresh cheese, and mushrooms. Apart from food and produce they sell yarn that comes from the wool of local sheep. I saw a distillery stall where they were handing out samples - it had quite the line. A stall that sold dry teas and infused syrups (I bought one actually) Maple syrup, soaps, I could go on. There's a booth for those who use Hip and apparently from $10 you get $30 to spend so it's a place where even those on a low budget can come and take advantage. Then there's the food which, you should definitely try. It was our first time trying food from Afghanistan and it was incredible. They were like these dumplings filled with either meat or squash, we chose the squash, and then it had lentils on top and a rich yogurt sauce that was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, honestly, it was a great experience, and the place itself is so beautiful, it's no wonder that there's lines of cars parked and others waiting to find parking. That's the only drawback, finding parking is gonna be rough, but when you do, ohhh the goodies that await you! I honestly wish I lived here, I'd be at this farmers market every Saturday.

This is by far the best orchard that my family and I have been to in a while. We came to pick…read moreblueberries, but they also had peaches and apples, possibly even raspberries. The rows of blueberries were endless, and we easily filled up several cartons, which later turned into several pies at home. The petting zoo was a wonderful attraction for everyone, especially the kids. Baby goats, baby cows, peacocks, and many other types of animals were around for feeding and petting. $1 entrance fee for the petting zoo? Yes please, all day long. We also spent a few dollars in their gift shop, which had the world famous apple cider donuts that you can buy by the bag. Sugar or no sugar is up to you. Crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Made fresh to order. Lots of other snacks around too for those with impulse control issues. Freeze dried everything is apparently a thing. Can't wait to come back again.

It is AMAZING.... the apple flavor in whatever you are baking is real because this is REAL.. no imitation junk that you might find in the grocery store! You can haul home a few gallons of apple cider and spend all day boiling it down yourself, but it will be easier (and less expensive) to get this. Keep the bottle closed tightly in your refrigerator and you will have it for a long time (and get some maple syrup while you are at it).

Most people were friendly and we had a standout item and multiple subpar items but for us the thing that was very prevalent here was their absolute hatred of dogs. Every few feet at this OUTDOOR market they had signs proclaiming "No Dogs!" And it's not even like it was the same sign over and over. There were dozens of different signs all over. If I'm being honest, we never would have drive the hour round trip to come here if we knew we would have to leave our dog in the car. The prices were higher than expected but it's worth it so support local farmers. That being said, I am sure I saw a gentleman selling store bought pies at a markup so just be cautious and if your dog is always with you, there are lots of farm stands on the area you can visit instead of this market.

Waiting a few days for the tomatoes to ripen-- hoping and expecting that they will be delicious. Very nice man. Also has kale, basil, and other greens. Highly recommended. Nice to take your kids here, too, so they can learn about where their produce comes from. I, personally, had never seen garlic bulbs still attached to the stalk. Pretty cool.
