The owner and his son so friendly and super generous, allowing for slight detours and stops to watch numerous dolphins swim along marina and the Gulf of Mexico. Saw more dolphins on this trip than the ones we paid exclusively for dolphin watching. The shuttle is pet friendly. As a matter of fact, our Captain was a puppy Australian Labradoodle, named Jack . We have taken the Hemingway water shuttle 2 times now and it was amazing each time. It is a wonderful family run business. Everyone is super welcoming. It's not just a shuttle it's like a little guided tour out to the island. They are also great with kids! I can't forget Jack being the perfect host! Oh and so many great shell finds!! read more

What a great service. From the moment that you book the reservation the professional service is outstanding. They make it easy to book and to make changes within their rules and regulations. When you arrive there is a nice shop that has any last minute items and they have good deals on sunglasses if you need them. There are black Gaylord type rolling buckets that you can put your chairs and bags in to take down to the boat. It is a half decent walk so just know that. They do have chairs that you can rent. The crew from the captain to the first mate to captain Jack, the friendly dog that comes with them on every trip are friendly and knowledgeable. They tell you important facts about the day such as UV rating, high and low tide times, where to swim and not. If they see dolphins they will stop the boat and point out to the passengers. I used to rent a pontoon boat but no more. 1st class service and the staff is professional and nice. Be advised to be on time or better yet early for pick up and drop off. We come here at least twice each vacation. read more

Family run business. Really friendly, took the time to get all passengers familiar with Marco Island and some of the history. We ran into some dolphins and captain stopped for us to take pictures and appreciate the moment. Their dog Jack was onboard - adorable! read more

What a great time! We did the Keewaydin Island trip! The two people running the trip were very nice people. My girlfriend and I were in town for vacation and had arrived only about an hour or so earlier. We were at lunch a few minutes away talking about things to do when we came across this one. In our mind, there was no way we could get to the 1:30 trip in time. But with a call and a little patience on the Hemingway's side, they accommodated us for the trip. They stop the boat and talk about things with the island as well as some wildlife and sea creatures (dolphins, turtles, etc). Once we got to the island we were blown away by how private-esque it seemed. We were looking for something to do in Marco and came across Keewaydin Island. I booked this online 2 days before and it was an easy process. We were staying in an Airbnb right behind the marina so it was easy peasy for us. The ride to Keewaydin was slow so we could see the marine life and enjoy Capt. Jack!! Val rolls out a ramp to walk off the boat once you get to the island. The island is gorgeous and a perfect relaxing/shelling spot. Make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen!! I'm already planning our next trip to Marco, and you can be sure Hemingway Shuttle will be on that trip. read more

It was great. They are very accommodating as you are allowed to bring your dogs on board. They know the area well and are full of interesting tidbits about Marco and Keewaydin. It's a quick 30 minute ride and there are frickin' dolphins swimming alongside you. I highly recommend it read more

Had a very unfortunate incident occur with the 2 male staff on the Hemingway shuttle. We set our boat next to them and they started yelling at my family and I and using foils language, such as f*** you and shut up! He continued to yell and act in the most unprofessional manner. What a great day trip! Captain Steve and Val were very accommodating while we were boarding the ship. Our Grandmother doesn't move quickly but it was no trouble for them. The ramp they have from the pontoon to shore was very helpful in getting and off the boat for her. Riley was such a cute dog and watched the dolphins with us. Although it was just a boat to take us to the island for shelling, we also got a dolphin tour! They had a wealth of knowledge about the area that they shared as well. Couldn't have asked for a better trip to Keewaydin Island. This was my first time vacationing in the Isles of Capri, which is just north of Marco Island. I searched for quite a while before I came up with the best mode of transportation to get us to this secluded beach - and I came up with a gem. The owners of the business (the Hemingways) were our our captains for the trip. They were so nice! There were only two of us on the ride to the island, so I'm sure we were indulged more than if they had a full ship. But that was exactly what we needed after an overly-full airboat ride in the everglades the day before! We really appreciate their hospitality and their knowledge of the area, and took a real interest in how our vacation was going. I have already recommended this charter to friends. One couple from Ohio is planning a vacation around this charter because of my photos from Keewaydin! Best of luck in years to come for this new charter venture! read more

We motored around looking for dolphins and other sea creatures! We saw dolphins and tarpon . We booked this trip last minute and we're so glad we did. Steve and Val were so friendly and their dog Jack made our kids' day. The ride out to Keewadin was nice and slow. Steve made sure he stopped and got us near where the dolphins play so we could get lots of pictures and video. The island itself was stunning. The best shelling experience I've ever had. If you want solitude, go to the golf side of the island. On the other side, lots of boats pull up. The food from Just Beachy Burgers food "truck" (which is actually a pontoon boat) was amazing. Best grouper tacos! The kids enjoyed ice cream from the ice cream boat. Steve and Val came back and got us at 4 pm and we had a swift ride back. Super, super day.
