Great experience! Saw multiple dolphins! Capt Ron takes the time to make sure everyone is cared for and involved! He knows his stuff and take safety seriously. We also enjoyed that he got great photos so we were able to fully submerge ourselves in the experience!

This was the most amazing experience ever!! Worth every penny and more! Rj was our tour guide and he was simply perfect from start to finish. Very detailed with instructions and throughout the tour taught us so much about the domes, to dolphins, to shells to the Everglades. Everything we passed and went by he offered up great information or a story. It seriously was the best!! I can't even pick our favorite part. I've always wanted to see dolphins, so of course I was over the moon when Rj led us to a HUGE maternal pod and got them to interact with us. And they just kept popping up! From there we cruised through the Everglades and it felt like we were in a scene of a movie! We can't wait to do this again on our next trip to Marco Island!! This place is the best!

So close that you can mount it.

Thanks to a recent discussion, I was reminded of one of my favorite 2013 adventures. Yeah, it was a while ago, but even with my horrible memory i still remember just how freaking fun this tour was. I read about Capt. Ron's on a travel blog (before my introduction to Yelp). A few bloggers were raving about how they really enjoyed interacting with the wildlife and the pics they got. A few minutes later i was calling Capt. Ron to book an excursion. I didn't like the idea of giving my credit card info to a stranger over the phone but it's been 2 years and no weird charges have shown up on my card, so I'd say they're trustworthy. Once you're booked you'll get a confirmation email with instructions, directions and tips for the adventure. The cost of the adventure is per machine, not per person. Naturally, most people would prefer to do something like this with someone they know. So my follow up call was to my then ex-GF. In hindsight, inviting an ex for a weekend getaway is a horrible idea - even with the promise of racing dolphins. Don't fret if you don't have an angry ex to invite though, there will be plenty of cool people out there to interact with and it would still be really fun to go out and do by yourself! Get there on time, especially if you've never operated a jetski before. The crew will run you through the basics with a ski on land. A few minutes later you'll be in the water putting the theory into practice. It really isn't hard, you'll get the hang of it within minutes. The tour starts of a little slow so you have a bit to get a feel for the skis. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, ZOOOM! You take off full throttle. A lot of the tour is spent with the pedal to the metal [more like the lever to the rubber], bit it's necessary (and fun) for the sake of seeing everything there is to see. You do not want to bring grandma or your 5 year old on this adventure. I'm sure the guides would slow down if need be, but you'd be screwing the rest of the group of the best 3 hours possible. Kids 10+ and adults that don't mind a little rush are the participants of choice. We raced through both the murky swamp water and the cool blue sea. Even though you're topping out your ski you still get to take in the beauty around you. Our guide, Avi, knew that what everyone wanted was to get close to some dolphins and manatees. He is known as the "Dolphin whisperer" and it's definitely a fitting title because we came across a few different pods through the tour. It sounds weird but the dolphins seem to love the wake of the skis. I was the first ski behind Avi for most of the tour and i recommend that you try to secure the same spot if you REALLY want to get close to dolphins. They usually "play" with the first few skis, but there are times when we were stopped that they came by to mess around too. There were a few stops where we had a chance to take photos, talk to fellow adventurers, swim, do some bird watching and even visited one of the islands to score some shell trophies. Some bottled water is included in the tour but I'd also recommend bringing a small snack or two so you could munch during one of the breaks. Our tour ended up being just a little over 3 hours long from the point where we took off from the ramp. Time flies while you're adventuring so make sure you make the most of every second! If you love nature, adventure, socializing and trying new things then Capt. Rons Awesome Everglades Adventure tour is money well spent.

    Beautiful Sunrise

Captain Ron is the bomb!! The wave runners are in great condition. He knows exactly where to go.. this tour is the perfect mix of fun & safety! We saw TONS of dolphins & over all it was an AMAZING tour!!!

The experience was amazing and worth every penny. My wife and I had never been on a Wave Runner but within five minutes of excellent coaching we were ready. Three hours later we had seen many of the 10,000 islands, had interacted with dolphins, had stopped on a beach to see Loggerhead Turtle nests & had zipped through the trails between islands at 30 mph. Captain Ron is passionate and really knows how to get dolphins to play in the wake from the Wave Runners. I would recommend Captain Ron to anyone looking to make memories in South Florida.

k I feel the need to post because we had a less than great experience. We took a boat trip May 26…read more 2026 and were looking forward to this trip with our 5 & 3 year old. The captain (Jack) was great. The guide Kristen did know a lot about marine life, I'll give her that. Her customer service skills were terribly lacking however. She def had an attitude about many things; one of them being when I asked for two life jackets for my little kids as we teach them when we're in a boat we wear like jackets supports. She acted like this was insane and out of the question and annoyingly grabbed them for us as said "you can have them but I don't want to invoke fear of the rest of the guests" I actually was so pissed she said that in front of my kids. At the end we got a bill and I was confused because when I booked, I was charged over $400 so I said simply I think we already paid, can I find my receipt and email? I showed her it said on my receipt "total paid" and showed her the charge on my credit card. She said in twenty some or thirty some years it's always the same and it's like a hotel and made me feel like an idiot. Again, I feel like i just asked a question and was spoken to like I was an absolute idiot. I then a little agitated calmly said, it's a little infuriating we are spending $400 and you are talking to me like this. I found your comment earlier about the invoking fear to be out of line and compared it to wearing a seatbelt in a car and I don't appreciate feeling judged by wanting to wear safety equipment in a boat. She gave zero apology and doubled down with both things and honestly I was so annoyed, I topped nothing and got off the boat. Kristen may be a marine expert, but having her with your business is honestly a liability. I am SOOOOO pissed we spent $400 on this ride. I hope you're other employees are better. Super turned off by the company
