My elderly father who has dementia was not doing well in his living situation. I was at my wits'…read moreend trying to figure out how to find a new living situation for him. Every assisted living or memory care place seems almost the same and seemed to have the same sales pitch. I just couldn't sift through any more of it and feel confident on my own in finding a better situation for my dad. Sitting at the computer in tears scrolling through assisted living websites, I stumbled across Stacy's Helping Hands here on Yelp. I called the company and reached the owner, Pam Silverberg. It was probably one of the single best things that ever happened in this painful, complicated road of caring for my dad. Pam was warm, friendly, and interested in helping me. Before i even engaged her services, she gave so much of her time to me. She wasn't another one of the sales people in the assisted living business - she just seemed like a concerned friend. And she had a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. We worked together for several months because I was so nervous about moving my dad. But she was patient and kept talking with me through good options. She was a fantastic sounding board. She got to know my dad's needs and made recommendations based on his needs and my concerns. She visited several facilities with me and became a good interface between me and the facility we finally chose. She was alongside us as we moved my dad and continued to interface with the facility and advocate for us in a couple of situations that arose when we moved my dad in. No one should navigate this road alone. Pam at Stacy's Helping Hands genuinely wants to help people navigate this arduous road. I feel like she's really become a friend in this whole process. If you're exhausted and nervous and overwhelmed - call Pam! Even if you don't engage her services, you will find a listening ear and undoubtedly a bit of sincere and valuable advice.

The process of finding assisted living/memory care is extremely stressful and Pam's expertise and willingness to go above and beyond was greatly appreciated. The situation with my parents and their health is extremely complicated and Pam was a thoughtful and thorough advocate in helping us find a solution. My brother and I both live out of state and having access to a resource like Stacy's Helping Hand was invaluable - we literally could not have done this without Pam's help. I cannot overstate her compassion, patience, and effort to help us. I highly recommend Stacy's Helping Hand to anyone looking for help with this process!

It is difficult to give Sandy's care management and guardianship company even a single star after…read morewhat she did to our family. Here are some examples, starting with when we first considered her as a potential care manager for our family member, who has dementia: Sandy being unavailable for an initial phone call because she is "actually in the ER with a client" Sandy needing to reschedule her first meeting with your family at the last minute because she "got tied up in the ER with a client" Sandy getting lost in a different county on the way to meet our family despite me confirming our address with her beforehand Telling us what we want to hear in order to get hired Not keeping her promises When we try to fire her after she injures our relative twice, she informs us that the opposition hired her. Assuring our family member, "I'm not here to take you anywhere or do anything, I don't have any authority to do that, that's not my goal or my job." Yet, she rushes him to a memory care facility without notice about a month later Allowing others to call her guardian before she is appointed guardian Is nowhere to be found when your family member needs to go to the ER Refusing to answer basic questions about your family member's care without her lawyer(s) being involved Pawning off her work to people who you have never met before despite saying early on that "it would be me because I have the most experience" Do yourself and your family a favor and do not make the mistake of choosing Sandy to manage the care of your family member.

But…read morerecently I found myself dealing with my husband's serious health and cognitive challenges. It's hard to describe the anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, and confusion that I experienced trying to do my best to care for his needs - and mine. I felt I was stretched beyond my ability to cope. I was extremely fortunate to have had Karen to guide and support me through situation after situation. She was not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable but was able to think clearly when I was not. I was so impressed with her demeanor - calm, caring and respectful. It is important to note that I never felt she was taking over. I experienced her as a partner who cared as much as I did about finding the best solutions. Her expertise was so impressive, knowing exactly what the next step should be and how I might best accomplish it. My whole experience was like a breath of much needed fresh air, giving me support, hope and the resources I needed to get through each challenge I was facing. I would not hesitate to entrust Colorado Elder Care with any one of my family members or friends. I have the utmost confidence that they would receive all that they need to facilitate the best outcome for all concerned.

My sister and I live out of state, over a thousand miles away, which made it very stressful managing his escalating needs. However, Colorado Eldercare Solutions found him a subsidized senior housing complex that was secure, located in a very walkable neighborhood of Englewood, and guided us in setting up support services for his medical and social needs. Simple things like a phone with larger buttons and easy to use message retrieval were helpful in ensuring we could communicate with our father. The medical box set up and monitoring system helped us manage his on-going and complex prescription needs. Additionally, she helped ensure he was getting proper nutrition and had a support system to check in on him to make sure he remained active and engaged in the community. I believe his quality of life was tremendously enhanced by the support and care they extended. And, I know it gave me greater piece of mind knowing that there was someone close who could make a visit to see how Dad was doing when we couldn't get in touch. I can recommend Colorado Elder Care solutions without any reservations.
