I gave Henderson Law a 3 star not because of the result but because of the lack of reassurance on their side. I understand that many things happen and that him and his team were busy with other cases-I can understand that and I made it known everytime I wrote to them. There were many months that went by when they didn't reach out to me to give me updates. I had to be the first to reach out to them all the time and this made me feel miserable because it felt like I'm pressuring them. I just think that if they gave me updates once in a while that would allot them more points. They did deliver results and for that I'm really grateful for them. ***Update: I'm adding one star for the completely unnecessary response to save face. I would have given two, but then I remembered that if he took the time to respond to a negative review, but not the time to speak to me on the phone.*** He had his legal assistant call me to gather a little information about what I experienced. He had her call me back about 20 minutes later to let me know he passed on the case. I have documentation and witnesses that I was subjected to a hostile work environment for months, retaliated against for bringing up safety concerns and company policy violations by my peers. I am also owed for unpaid wages. The legal assistant said he said I gave up certain rights when I resigned (instead of continuing to be retaliated against in an hostile AND unsafe work environment) but that I should pursue a wage claim on my own. THIS IS NOT TRUE. By resigning, I made the case more difficult, I did not give up my rights. I hate excuses. Simply say, "I'm passing on the case because I do not want to take it on." His legal assistant also stated the wrong statute of limitations on our initial call (I had already looked it up.) she backtracked by saying well,I'm not a lawyer so I'll have to double check with him. If you are independent and have needed to make all your own decisions it is not easy handing over the reigns to a stranger. The reviews were good but I remained unsure until the mediation phase of my lawsuit, a ways down the road. Then I saw him in action. He was nothing short of brilliant! This isn't your girlfriend, holding your hand and being sympathetic. He is ALL business, and very good at it. There is no artifice, only a wealth of knowledge imparted succinctly.
