She brings a table, fan and makes her own mehendi paste! Also she's very nice and fun to work with and genuinely enjoys applying mehendi. Her talent for applying henna, is so so good! She also hid my husbands initials in the design, as a fun touch! She applied a mixture of sugar water and eucalyptus oil once dried for it to stick for a darker stain. If I could give Deepa 10 stars, I would. She did incredibly intricate and creative mehndi on my hands, arms and feet for my wedding, and she did at least 8 or so hand designs for my friends and family on the same evening. I loved prepping with her by talking through the different types of design options, and then trusting her wholeheartedly when she actually sat down to do her art and trusted her creative license. She is self-taught, incredibly talented, and a joy to be around as well. All of my friends and family who were there that evening loved spending time with Deepa and felt so beautiful with their mehndi as well. It was lovely that she had a pretty set up for mehndi in my living room and put glitter on all the designs when she was finished, just for a fun touch while the henna dried. I called Deepali at 11am asking for a same day appointment since my original artist bailed on me last minute. She was very helpful and very accommodating and I'm so glad I choose to go to Deepali. Before my mehendi I had emailed Deepali some designs I wanted and she definitely executed the designs I wanted the day of my mehendi!!. On the day of the mehendi because the hotel did not have my bridal suite ready yet, Deepali accommodated me and started henna on my aunt and mom in the hotel lobby. Her dedication to her work is patently obvious- everything she does, she puts her heart into and it shows in the quality of her work.
