If I could give Deepa 10 stars, I would. She did incredibly intricate and creative mehndi on my hands, arms and feet for my wedding, and she did at least 8 or so hand designs for my friends and family on the same evening. I loved prepping with her by talking through the different types of design options, and then trusting her wholeheartedly when she actually sat down to do her art and trusted her creative license. She is self-taught, incredibly talented, and a joy to be around as well. All of my friends and family who were there that evening loved spending time with Deepa and felt so beautiful with their mehndi as well. It was lovely that she had a pretty set up for mehndi in my living room and put glitter on all the designs when she was finished, just for a fun touch while the henna dried. I can't wait for another excuse to work with her again as she is so kind, patient, generous, creative and extremely talented. I would (and have!) recommended Deepa to anyone looking for a professional and talented henna artist.

So extremely polite and very much skilled! Deepali was really accommodating for my last minute request for a trial run for my upcoming wedding! The missing star comes from the fact that I had asked for a contract to reserve my Mehndi night since the day of my trial which was many months ago, I'm still waiting despite multiple text reminders and inquiries. Deepali is beautifully talented and so sweet, but had disappointed me in the lack of follow up. read more

Deepali is so sweet! I found her by searching henna in San Ramon. I sent her an email from her website linked to the yelp and she got back to me very quickly. I want to get a permanent tattoo of a Lotus Flower so I wanted to make sure I liked the placement I wanted and liked having a "tattoo" and wouldn't get bored of it. I sent her some pictures of what I wanted and when I showed up she had hand drawn out the design beautifully. It looked amazing once she did the henna on my wrist. I loved the design so much I also had her make me 2 candles with the same design on them and they turned out amazing as well! She goes above and beyond. I used Deepali for my bridal mehendi. Because I was having an indian wedding and had never gotten henna before, Deepali gave me a complimentary trial. The trial came out amazing. Before my mehendi I had emailed Deepali some designs I wanted and she definitely executed the designs I wanted the day of my mehendi!!. On the day of the mehendi because the hotel did not have my bridal suite ready yet, Deepali accommodated me and started henna on my aunt and mom in the hotel lobby. When the suite was finally ready she immediately started my henna and afterwards even had time to do henna on my sister, dad, and cousins. DEEPALI is sweet, professional, and so talented. Deepali is a very talented henna artist who's simply a wonderful human being. She drew a beautiful flower design on the side of my body, all freehand (no stencils). She is professional, patient, & very easy to talk with. She also provided coconut oil for post-henna care. The henna design faded away after about 2 weeks, which I expected. Not good work ethics. She was keep on checking her phone 'what time it is'. And when one of the kid just ask for small design she is like 'you should have hired for more time'. Come on like what about the minutes you wasted looking for time on your phone. Overall I feel she should have been little considerate for small family group. read more

Deepali was the henna and hair artist for my wedding, and did an absolutely fabulous job, going well beyond the call of duty to ensure it went well. Her dedication to her work is patently obvious- everything she does, she puts her heart into and it shows in the quality of her work. Besides henna, she also did my wedding favors, meticulously working on nearly a hundred candle holders, and traditional hairdo. The assistants she brought for the hairdo and henna were also wonderful people. Amid the mad rush of the dressing room before the ceremony, she was calm and ensured everyone was ready on time. She fully accommodated my request for my dogs to be included in the designs and did my sister's mehendi the same night. She also provided great tips for darkening the henna like applying sugar syrup onto the henna, drying the henna over stove top with cloves, and using gauze (not Mefix) for leaving the henna on overnight. The next day, she provided over 15 party guests with mehendi (the line was long because everyone was eager!) and was willing to stay extra time to make sure everyone received designs. She provided me and my guests with lifelong memories. My mehendi was so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at the designs throughout my wedding. I highly recommend Arati for all your bridal and party henna needs. She will be the first vendor we contact for my sister's wedding. Thank you, Arati! :)

Communication was clear with instructions on how to take care of the tattoo and what to avoid. She even provided the written instructions. The artist explained that she has been doing henna tattoo since 2016 so she has a decade of experience so knows what she's doing. If I had an Indian wedding to go to, I am definitely coming back here and even insist the wedding party to bring their business here. The Mehndi event was very long and there was a lot going on, but she was flexible and applied Mehndi on my bridesmaids and family members as well. She also did Mehndi for our guests at Sangeet. I chose the most detailed package and Sabreena was really great at taking inspiration from my mother's bridal mehndi and incorporating it into my design. I gave her full freedom and she made the design so beautiful. I also loved that she brought her own music and was really social/talkative so the whole session wasn't awkward and quiet. Deepali is an excellent Henna artist! She did Henna designs on my hands and feet for a recent family function. She was very professional and friendly in reaching out to my email and appointment requests. It was kind of her to have come to my place to do the henna, in spite of being just for me (i.e. one client). Looking at her beautiful work, my aunt also chipped in and had her hands done, and was very pleased with her work. Our henna came out nice and bright the next morning, and was a testament to her using only natural products. Deepali's creativity goes beyond henna art, to hand-made candles and decor. I reached out to her to check if she could fit me in for henna today (10/27/24), and to my delight, she was available. I visited her home, and she worked her magic with the henna. Deepali is simply fantastic! She was invited to do henna for me and many of my friends and family on a mehendi function and she did an amazing job. We all got tons of compliments on her work. More than her artistic skills which are like no one else's I have seen, what I liked the most about her was her genuine personality, super friendly and would go out of her way to help you. After reading the positive reviews of Deepali's work, I decided to have her come to the house & do henna tattoos on all of the guests. Her response time was quick & very professional! She was a pleasure to work with, and I was certainly not disappointed! The girls loved their henna tattoos as well as myself! Deepali was fantastic for our group. For many (most) of us, this was out first experience attending a traditional Hindu wedding and thought getting henna tattoos would be a great idea. Deepali did a tattoo for my daughter just for fun. She wanted a tattoo on her hand and arm. She did free style and drew a beautiful pattern, that my daughter now shows off to everybody.
