They say rotisserie chicken is making a comeback... I wasn't aware it was gone.
However, Henrietta's chicken shop has upped the ante of your local charcoal chicken place.
They are hidden down a lane at the rear of 357 Collins Street (enter from Flinders Lane) next to Huxtaburger.
The shop look great, old fashioned mixed with some hipster and some greenery.
The staff are really welcoming, friendly and courteous. I couldn't fault them on service.
The food is fantastic. My friend and I ordered a 1/2 chicken pack that came with slaw, green salad, and chips. It was a huge chopping board piled with food. The salads were really tasty and would help with the guilt and shame if I had any. The gravy is on the salty side though, some would find it too salty.
The chicken. It's damn delicious. Skin is perfect with the charcoal flavours, juicy, the flesh even has flavour. Probably the best rotisserie chicken I've had. read more
