I absolutely love this location on Degraves street- you have the benefit of eating outside in a typical cute Melbourne laneway but with fast casual fair. I love that Grill'd has so many options- including those that are diet and macro friendly. I typically opt for the Hot Bird burger and chicken bites - so much protein for a low calorie amount. Can't recommend this enough if you're sick of eating super heavy meals all the time and want something that is lighter and healthier! read more

I tried the simply grilled, one friend had the bacon and cheese and the other had the mighty. This is my friend's favorite burger joint in Melbourne and he's only a few blocks away from this one. Big fluffy sesame buns. Even the simply Grill'd was big. The fries were big cuts, too big for my liking, but still tasty. I am now a fan of Grill'd! I stumbled by this shop as I was walking down Degraves Street and a lot of people rave about it so I decided to give it a try and I have to say that I am impressed. Ambiance: It's a tiny little fast food joint, but they do manage to keep it nice and clean. Plus you have a great view of Degraves Street and the hustle and bustle of city life. Customer Service: Absolutely fantastic! The girl at the cashier was very friendly and smiled when she took my order. The man who brought out my food did so with a smile, etc. It really brightens my day when a place has great customer service and Grill'd has it. Food: I ordered the Crispy Bacon & Cheese burger along with a side of regular-sized chips and herbed mayonnaise dip. The burger was great! The meat was a bit rough and could be better, but not too much to complain about. The chips were a bit salty, but the herbed mayonnaise was absolutely DELICIOUS. Possibly the best mayonnaise I have ever had. The rest of their menu has incredible variety as well, with beef burgers, chicken burgers, and veggie burgers. You'll probably find something that catches your eye on the menu! NOTES: ~ They have a special program called Local Matters where with your order, you receive a bottle cap that you place in any of three jars representing 3 charities. Essentially, each month Grill'd picks a charity to donate 300 dollars to and the other 2 charities receive 100 dollars each and you pick which is your favourite. I think this is an incredible cause especially since nowadays, a lot of other businesses don't spend too much time giving back - I'm really happy Grill'd is doing something like this! ~ Vegetarians are WELCOME! Pretty good burgers, especially for Australasia! The Mustard n' Pickled is a win with a solid cheese and dijon mustard, and they have excellent chips with a particularly tasty sweet chili mayo. If you split the chips, two people can easily eat for $30 - 40 AUD. read more

If you aren't too hungry, great deal is to share a burger, regular fries and sweet chilli mayo. The burgers are quite large and very tasty We love the Zen Hen and Tuscan Delights. I'm not sure what it is about the ingredients or they way they put it together but Grill'd somehow gets it right every time which very few gourmet burger joints do. read more

We weren't too sure what we wanted for dinner but glad we chose Grill'd. The service was so friendly and relaxed - thanks Gavin (aka "Cosmo"). The atmosphere was cozy with outside seating and overhead heaters looking out to Degraves St. The burgers were the best we have ever had - you could tell the ingredients were good quality. I had the sliders and definitely recommend them if you're not to sure which burger to choose. My wife enjoyed sharing the "Mighty Melbourne" with my mum - was enough for them with the regular size chips. Had dinner here yesterday before heading out for drinks... My friend sold me with the words "Rekordelig Slushie"... Ummm... a place which combines Rekordelig cider with icy slushieness..?? YES PLEASE!! The Burger was pretty darn good as well... I had the Autumn Sunset (?) burger which had avocado, pineapple & bacon and it was absolutely deeelish... to the point that I didn't care I was sitting on the pavement and had relish and burger on my face for the world to see... I was too busy trying to get the burger into my belly!! The meat patty was well cooked and soooo juicy... They really should hand out bibs with the burgers!! The pineapple & relish gave it the right amount of zing without overshadowing the natural sweetness of the beef, the bacon lent the right amount of salty and the avo was just YUM! It was soo good I just about had another burger from their joint in Chapel St today! Service was good, burgers came out pretty quickly considering the restaurant was pretty busy. One of the better burgers I've tasted while I was in Australia. Me and my friends all ordered a different burger and had a taste of each and I must admit, they were all pretty damn good. Burgers were juicy yet not dripping with fat and oil and flavorful. Definitely a gourmet burger joint and thankfully, there's quite a few locations in and around Melbourne. They have Bundaberg Ginger Beer which is a ginger ale that they have specifically in Australia and definitely worth searching for in your local markets because it's good. Service at this location was friendly but not very helpful as in after you get your order, there's no server that comes by to check in on you. I found it to be pretty common for service in Australia to be "lacking" compared to the service here in the States. If you're ever around this area and are craving for a burger, this is the place for you. And if you're a hipster (I am not) you may enjoy this place even more. Lol. I highly recommend the wagyu beef burger - with tomato sauce, cheddar cheese, pickles, and mustard in that sourdough bun, it hit the spot! Sounds like the chicken sweet chilli burger is pretty good too. The chips come with rock salt and rosemary and cooked to perfection. Look if your veg and GF you'll have something to eat. However their chicken is frozen "cause we can't get it in fresh everyday" and cooked to make sure it's dead dead dead and has the taste and texture of cardboard. The low carb GF bun can't hold the stack of veg and thin chicken inside making it a sloppy eat - but the bun only get soggier as the chili mayo and sweet chili are absorbed into the "bread". Glass was so dirty o could see the lipstick and feel the crud around the glass from whomever had it before me. Asked for a new glass never got one.
