I was at the Hartford Hosp outpatient center in Milford and the entire office & medical staff was great. I went into the surgery feeling that I was in good hands across the board, especially with Dr. W. He takes his time to really listen to patients and is not a surgeon who believes surgery is always the answer. He had been recommended to me by other medical professionals and I completely see why. I cannot recommend him and the staff he has engaged more highly.

I came in struggling with migraines that ran my life, and since starting with him I've gotten my life back. He actually listens, explains everything clearly, and his treatment plan helped me tremendously. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. And Sue is the heart of that office. She's kind, organized, and somehow always manages to make you feel like you're the only patient they have. Getting appointments is easy, she's compassionate, and she keeps everything running smoothly. I owe Dr. Hasbani and Sue so much. Before I found Dr. Hasbani, migraines controlled my days. He's a terrific doctor -- brilliant, patient, and kind. He took me seriously and helped me tremendously. I finally feel like myself again. If you need a neurologist, don't even think twice. I knew that there was something special -- about his surgical prowess that most guys don't have. After reviewing my M.R.I., he made it perfectly clear that ANY serious improvement was a long-shot. It's been almost seven weeks since my surgery, and, I DO see positive results. My right leg HAS gotten better {lower leg} and I FEEL that a miracle {"Dr. Dave's words} could happen. He assured me after my surgery {at Danbury hospital} that NONE of my discs were pressed against my nerves. I believe that 2 or 3 discs were fused as well. I am no longer experiencing ANY drop-foot {right leg} when I walk. I hope that my next check-up reveals more improvement. Every day, my right foot wiggles a bit more, as do my toes. This was my personal experience;…read more Even if you have been a previous patient within Yale Medical for years but are a new patient with the Yale Orthopedic & Rehab, expect a long wait for an appointment, at least for Dr. Gibson anyway. Even as a prior patient of Doctor Gibson beyond three years of seeing him last you are considered a new patient. Do not be fooled by a non-existent waiting list either, every time I called there to ask if there's been a cancellation they added me to it, nor the false hope of calling daily for a possible cancelation opening as you will learn below. I've had knee pain now for several months and I scheduled an appointment with Doctor Gibson for March of 2023, acquired in November of 2022. I've made numerous calls to try and obtain an earlier appointment due to a cancellation, as directed by Yale staff when I called to schedule my original appointment. I was advised to call daily by several people that schedule appointments. On December 19, 2022, I was told there was a cancellation in January of 2023. When the receptionist learned I was a new patient, I was told "Oh sorry, you're not eligible for this appointment as a new patient." A complete contradiction to what I was advised back in November and most every time I called. How can an open appointment not be available to a patient, whether that patient is new or existing!? As a result of a job that required a ridiculous amount of pushing furniture, carrying my office with me everywhere and not having a desk caused more damage than necessary. When a second shot of cortisone didn't work, Dr. Halim suggested I wear a brace to protect my wrist. In 2017 I found that surgery was the next step. I am no stranger to going under so I was fine with that. An MRI revealed arthritis as well so I was glad to be rid of it. After surgery I was in a cast followed by therapy. All one place, the doctors and nurses are professional and do their best to get you in and out quickly. Dr. Halim also has another office where appointments may be easier. She is kind and I am pain free.

I was on Percocet for over 30 years for a spinal disease called DISH and multiple herniations over…read morethat time. The day I go on vacation was the day I was supposed to pick up my monthly Percocet but my flight left earlier than the pharmacy was open so I tried to get Turok to send me my meds to where I was going. I had multiple problems getting that done so I came home in alot of pain and extreme stiffness. His office then sent a much smaller dose and smaller quantity of my medication and I kept asking why and all I got was Dr Turok leaving nasty messages. Then I receive a letter that starting Jan 1st 2023, his office was no longer prescribing opiods and left me with NOTHING to hold me over AND still no reason why he, for the 1st time ever reduced my meds without reason! I now find out he lied to me, that letter was a complete lie and he has been prescribing opiods without interruption! STILL NO EXPLANATION and now he has blackballed me as no other pain mgt doctor will give me what I need, give me any opiods at all and some won't even see me!!! I not only have advanced DISH but now need a 4 level fusion in my neck, have Shmorl nodes eating away my lumbar spine and this POS doctor could care less! On top of that, he talked me into getting Testosterone implanted in me last year without any care that my BP spiked so high that I almost stroked out and refused to take any responsibility. Moreover, I found out after the fact that when I thought I was getting epidurals for my neck and back, they were either trigger point injections or nerve blocks. As others have pointed out, Turok is nice when you're giving him the high priced injections and other treatments that he can make the most money but if you mainly need pain meds to function and you cause any issue on getting your meds, he'll shut you down and lie his ass off! Avoid this POS! It's too bad I couldn't give a 0 Stars.
