I had 3 appointments with Dr. Cervantes over an approx. 2 year period. I was on-time for all 3 appointments. He made me wait between 45-60 minutes on EACH appointment. He, along with his front desk staff were insulted that I complained about the wait each time! I will never use him again! read more

I had cataract surgery in November 2024. Although I had to wait five months for an initial appointment, my surgery was scheduled just a couple of weeks afterwards. Dr. Cervantes explained my options and was patient with all of my questions. The care I received for my procedure at the Surgery Center of Fairfield County was excellent. The nurses were attentive and helpful. I did not experience any pain but only some uncomfortableness with the lights after my eye was dilated. The gel that was placed on my eye prior to entering the OR was a strange experience, but necessary for an aseptic environment. It was a very quick operation and recovery went very well. read more

I cannot recommend Dr Cervantes any more highly! My optometrist discovered that i finally needed cataract surgeries and referred me to Dr. Cervantes. My experience was excellent from step 1. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The technicians are superb: efficient and thorough. I needed surgery on both eyes and Dr. Cervantes worked very closely with my optometrist to develop the best solution for my replacement lenses. I was nervous about having the surgery, but Dr. Cervantes explained the entire process and immediately put me at ease. The surgery was painless and exactly as was explained to me. Follow-up visits were a breeze. The best news: after wearing corrective lenses (eyeglasses and contact lenses) for over 58 years, i no longer need either! Amazing! I wish I could give 1 million stars! I have been contending with bouts of inflammatory keratitis since 2019 and have been under Dr. Cervantes' care since the start. I had been doing well for over a year with no flare-ups, but this weekend, I developed a pretty severe case. Of course, the symptoms didn't manifest until Saturday morning, and I had an event on Sunday that I really did not want to miss. Fortunately, Dr. Cervantes was on call for the practice. I called the answering service and immediately received a callback. Dr. Cervantes could have easily told me to go to the ER and follow up with him on Monday. But he didn't. He met me at the office on both Saturday and Sunday and treated me in person. I was able to attend and enjoy my event on Sunday. Dr. Cervantes is a truly caring doctor. The office staff is equally as wonderful and got me in again on Monday to make sure we were headed in the right direction. I am truly grateful for the wonderful care I have received from Dr. Cervantes and his staff, and I cannot recommend Connecticut Eye Specialists highly enough! read more

Outstanding professionalism. Stellar service. Dr Cervantes came highly recommended and even with that I was still amazed at the phenomenal service I received. I was there first thing in the morning and from the receptionist to MARIE to the Dr. ;Awesome, from start to finish. He looked at my eye for a bit and dianosed a problem I had a few times. Good to finally know and take care of it. MARIE's bedside manor was great and Dr Cervantes bedside manor was just as stellar. She made me feel comfortable while waiting to see the Dr. I hear he's the best in the area. Completely professional and made you feel at ease and that he cared about you, regardless of how busy he is. I'm getting older. Hey I'm lucky about that. Not many reach 65 years old. But now that I'm getting older, I'm experiencing some issues. One of them is cataracts and scarring, along with macular degeneration. Fun, fun, fun. The two visits I have had with Dr. Lorenzo were very thorough. He went through many things during the time of my visit, and I can't explain them. Too complicated, but after giving me 30 days to do certain things; checking my eyes again; and doing a vision test, he said I can continue with my glasses. No surgery necessary at this time. Yay! Once meeting Dr. Cervantes, he took the time to explain to me the procedure so I would feel comfortable enough for the surgery. The office is well organized and highly professional. Dr. Cervantes is warm, gentle and thorough and took the time to answer any and all of my questions. Dr. Cervantes was my surgeon for cataracts in both the left and right eye in March and April, 2018. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable prior to the surgery and reassured me both during surgeries and post op. I especially note that he very patiently and kindly handled some anxiety i had after my first surgery, and gave me all the time I needed to resolve my issue.
