He saw me in the nypd office for a minor shoulder injury I had. While I was waiting in the lobby, he heard me talking to my wife on the phone in Spanish. When he called me in to his office, His first question to me was "how does a guy with the last name Hamilton speak Spanish?" When I told him I have a spanish backround his demeanor changed. He then began asking me about an unrelated previous Hip resurface surgery I had 3 years prior. A surgery I was already signed off by variois NYPD Medical Doctors, and cleared to go back to work at full duty capacity for 3 years, and did so successfully. Even received a medal for arresting 3 armed robbers some 10 months after the hip resurfacing. Check out this video of my recent workouts: https://youtu.be/k6XsOquJeTU He then submitted paperwork to begin forcing me off my beloved career and to retire me based on hip resurfacing statistics, without ever examining me or personally assessing me to make his own justified determination that I was in any way disabled as he later labeled me. To remind you all I was already cleared and signed off for the hip for years. I worked as a recruiter for the 10 of my 18 years where the chance of dangerous confrontation is slim to none. When I realized what he was contemplating, I got emotional. I begged him saying I have 18 years on this job, I'm in phenomenal shape, and all I need is 2 years to get to my full pension. If he proceeds to kick me off early I would lose a substantial amount of hard earned pension. (Although, I had intentions to work many more years). I told him this will ruin my life financially, and emotionally. I also said I am a single income family with a pregnant wife and a young child. He patted me on the back and said "don't lose sleep over this, you don't seem like a dumb guy, you will find another job". He then closed the door, and I never heard from him again. He reported my alleged disability, as a danger to the public. I am not disabled!! He refused to talk or give me any explanation. Mind you I had recently ran 11 mile spartan race, I competed, and won an nypd sanctioned boxing match just 6 months after he began the process to terminate me. By the way the night of the NYPD boxing match, sanctioned by USA boxing, I had to be examined by a doctor. Which happened to be an NYPD honorary doc as well! I was thoroughly examined and, I passed the strict USA boxing medical standards, and was cleared to fight. I beat a 22 year old kid, I was 40 at the time. Tell me how I am a Danger to the public again? He then finally followed protocol by sending me to a so-called "independent" medical board for final determination, a few months after winning the fight. Ironically, I caught them lying as well. Thank God for electronic devices! Do you really want someone who behaves like this treating your family member? You be the judge. Dr. Marwin from NYU langone, did an amazing job on my hip resurfacing with an amazing quick recovery. He wrote numerous letters for me clearing me for the gym, full duty police work and the dangers that could come along with police work, and were completely ignored. Did I mention Dr. Henry never even physically examined me. It seems to be he based this decision on a hip resurfacing blanket policy (which is against the law). Most importantly, how could this doctor make a life changing decision, a decision that changes/crushes my world and everything I worked so hard for, and he didn't even give me a proper office follow-up visit, to properly explain, or better yet offer me a second opinion. I requested one and was denied. I received nothing but the cold treatment. Although I was assigned to mandatory monthly visits to see if my status changed, by an NYPD doctor assigned to my case. Was it dr. Henry, the doc. that orchestrated and initiated this all? NOPE it was a cardiologist that had no clue what was going on! Our meeting went like this.. Me: "Doc I'm fine can I go back to work?" Doc: " I dont know, you have to ask Dr. Henry." Me: "can I see him?" Doc: "No" This insanity went on for over a year! What bed side manners does he have? I did my best to use the NYPD as an outlet to help as many people as I can, which is why I became a recruiter. Now I am losing thousands of dollars monthly off my pension and struggling to stay above water. I need to reiterate all I needed was 2 years to get to my full retirement. I injured my foot when I was pregnant and went to Dr. Henry for treatment. Here is my experience with Dr. Henry: *He listens. *He does not try to get you out of the office. *He respects your wishes. I was pregnant and was worried about X-rays. Dr. Henry did not insist on having x-rays done. *He is very well qualified. Dr. Henry diagnosed me correctly without x-rays. My foot is fine now. *He does not do unnecessary procedures. I give him 5 stars. The only issue I found there is that his office manager is a little rude. I had experience with offices when the staff was great and the doctor was rude. It is much worse! I had to deal with rude obstetrician during my delivery. Having courteous staff did not help me. In my opinion, you can always deal with the staff if you have a good doctor. If you have any issues with Dr. Henry's staff (cannot get paperwork, insurance issues), speak to Dr. Henry himself, he is the best. read more

Dr. Henry is a fantastic doctor and an asset to our local community. He treats everyone with respect, compassion and is working hard to make all his patients better. As a patient of Dr. Henry's for many years, I have been treated for multiple body parts. His expertise lead to a quick resolution of my ankle and hip pain. Dr. Henry did wonders on my father's knee replacements, helped my husband with a broken foot and hand and has taken care of many of my other family members. His office manager, Audrey, is a wonderful woman. She is very helpful, kind and informative with all interactions I have had. I wish Dr. Henry and his staff many continued years of success.
