A few of my medical records had not been forwarded to the office, so she reached out and had them ready to go for my appointment. The waiting room was clean, quiet, and not at all crowded. (It was really nice to see a medical facility properly spacing out patients.) After my appointment, Denise clearly explained next steps as far as followups, and worked with my schedule to book convenient future appointments. Dr. Kelemen was kind, knowledgable, and thorough. He took the time to explain the exam, and encouraged me to ask questions as we talked and worked through my symptoms. He obviously spends a lot of time with patients to get the whole picture of what is going on, and is willing to go above and beyond to be efficient with his findings in order to provide the best possible care. If you are in the market for a neurologist, I highly recommend giving Denise a call at the office to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Kelemen.

We waited 3.5!hrs the other day to have two tests done and they only got through one (30 min test) and wanted us to wait in the waiting room again to have the second test done. We left. If we need any further testing it will not be done in their office. We had a similar experience on our first visit as well. We had to wait several hours for 3 tests. Very disrespectful of our time and the technicIan is not very personable either. I'd recommend going to another facility for testing if possible.

The care team here is patient, kind, reliable, caring and understanding. The doctors accommodate my special needs by extending my appointment times to 30 minutes when needed. One experience especially stood out to me. I passed out at the reception area, and another patient immediately called for help. The nurse and nurse practitioner immediately came out, helped me onto an exam table, and stayed with me until I fully regained consciousness. They showed genuine concern for patients safety and well-being, and the nurse practitioner even escorted me out to the parking lot afterward. That level of compassion and attentiveness meant a lot to me. I have had very different experiences in the past at Charles B Wang Community Health Center, an Asian clinic, and that's one of the reasons I decided to move my care to NYU Langone. Here I feel safe, respected, supported and taken seriously as a patient. About 90% of the patients here are White, 2% Asian, 5% Hispanic, and 3% African American. Around 70% were born in the USA and came to the U.S. before age 12, 80% came from highly educated families, and 70% are financially well off. I am pleased with the quality of care here and feel comfortable coming here. Even though I am always the only Asian person here, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment. As a person with a degree who values quality Healthcare, I highly recommend this NYU Langone facility.

But she's a health professional and I'm not. So maybe I have a different take on it. Any who! Dr Ender has been a complete pleasure to work with. I immediately told him he reminded me of Roddy McDowall, so we talked about some movies & good restaurants of course. Nice easy conversation. His staff has been pleasant & friendly. We've even shared a few chuckles over silly stuff like the weather. He deals with my crazy work schedule, even doing testing on a Saturday. A test I did NOT like but was necessary. I even asked if I would receive combat pay for doing this unpleasant test. He laughed & said he was sorry it hurt but he needed to do this test. On the next visit he walks in with some Ferrero Rocher candies, smiles and says here's your combat pay, I didn't forget. We both had a good laugh. There have been no consequences or side effects. She is personable and delightful as well. Actually I showed her another issue I was having which she diagnosed immediately and I was able to get care the same day with a professional that treats the issue I was experiencing. On another matter: Her office staff called me twice to make sure I received the result of an mri I had. Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. I highly recommend Dr. Iones if you need a neurologist as I have been to three others over the years and none compare on any level.
