Henry is the bee's knees. How do I know this? Because I worked with a succession of four other (not-so-hot) realtors before finally getting smart and deciding to go with Henry. What was the difference? Henry's always more interested in making a customer than making a deal. In fact, that's how I ended up working with him at all: he was representing sellers on two houses that I tried to buy as a first-timer, and in both cases, he made it a priority to be so up-front with me (the buyer... not even HIS client) that I felt better taken care of by HIM than my own agent at the time. Later on, when Henry was representing me as a buyer and I was putting in offers, it was so refreshing to NOT be pushed into a property I wasn't sure of. When my girlfriend and I first walked into the open house for what is now our current home, Henry was sitting at the kitchen table, representing the seller. My fianceé and I found Henry while researching Highland Park on the internet. His name kept popping up on listings and in search results. As we neared out move to LA, we decided to come out and pay him a visit. We met him early last year at his office in Los Feliz. He had an in depth conversation with us about what we were looking for in an house. He then drove us to a number of available properties and discussed the neighborhood, the options, the pricing and many other details. We decided on a short sale, which took months and aggressive follow up to bring to closure. He stayed with us patiently, keeping his calm, and only bringing us good news, while dealing with the rest. We eventually decided the house had fell into disarray and pulled out the deal. He patiently helped us out of the deal. We found another house, and invested another couple months, constantly asking questions, fighting fires, making offers, checking with contractors, inspectors, etc. We ended up losing the other house, due to our unwillingness to over pay for the property. He helped us navigate a tricky market, and was incredibly patient with us. We looked for over a year and a half and put offers in on 4 other houses before getting ours. He knows the Los Angeles area so well and is very honest and forthright about his opinions. He never tried to push us out of our comfort zone (if bidding got too high on certain homes he would tell us if he thought we'd be overpaying for something - he never pushed us to pay more just so he could make the sale) and he was also very honest about neighborhoods, steering us away from certain homes because he didn't think the area was up to our standards. He goes above and beyond, helping navigate and manage selling some of our furniture to the buyer of our condo, and even helping out with finding a contractor for our new house. He even went so far as to do the initial walk through with us with our contractor, after we had already purchased the home (when he had nothing else to gain), just because he's a super nice guy and genuinely loves what he does. We will definitely use him again when it's time to move, and we have, and will continue, to recommend him to all of our friends. Five stars isn't even adequate. We recently decided to sell our beloved home in Los Angeles and after much research, we reached out to Henry (he sold our neighbor's home for over asking price a year ago).
