Their staff are highly trained on products such as Dr. Mercola's products and others as well. Herbal Plant also has a marvelous café... The Tea Thyme Café! Where you will find all sorts of healthy drinks such as Ginger Shots: ginger, lemon juice, cayenne pepper. Wheat Grass Shots: made from fresh local organic wheat grass. This place is rude ! As soon as you walk in the door you're attacked by some employee going on about sales tables ,etc. Literally as you walk in. And you're always stalked as if you're thief! I love this place I'm in here at least once a week. Everyone is super nice and helpful & they genuinely care and want to help you. This is one of the biggest herb stores I've been to as well they have so much stuff ! Also this store is super kid friendly, they have a little play area for kids & their always super sweet to my daughter. I came in here with my friend last week who was feeling a little down and off, not wanting to go the traditional way to route of big pharma. The lady who helped us was so kind, listen to our needs and was extremely well versed in the variety of vitamins and supplements. I have been coming to Herbal Planet for about 15 years. Today when I went I asked someone to help me at the bull herbs counter. The Caucasian, maroon haired female was holding a magazine and she said she could help me. I asked for 3 oz of peppermint. She went back and forth pouring the peppermint in and out of the bag trying to make it 3 oz. The issue I have is her scraping it back in with her fingers!!!! I asked her if she had to wear gloves and she said "No, I washed my hands" she was literally holding a magazine BEFORE I asked her and did NOT wash her hands. I will NOT return to Herbal Planet anytime soon especially if they are not taking into consideration the health and well being of others. I don't know if you bathed this morning, picked your nose, wiped your butt or God knows what. This is absolutely pathetic they don't have to wear gloves and they use to use a scoop not their damn fingers. I'm so DONE!!!! read more

I went to area to visit the owner . The store is very well organized and the staff is very friendly but most of all extremely knowledgeable about the products. I told Donna one of the employee's my needs . She took me on a tour of the store and the different areas that specifically had the products for me . She was exceptionally nice while educating me at the same time . No hard sale tactics just information about supplements and vitamins that were best suited for need's I had. Most of all I HAVE NOTICED IMPROVEMENTS IN MY HEALTH since using there products. The owner is very nice and insists on personally helping with a very thorough training of all employees. She truly love's her customers and compassionately care's about their health and wellbeing along with her employee's . Discounts are available through sales and promotions along with online purchases through a very good vendor (Natures Sunshine) . I don't live in the area so I have only been 1 or 2 times. I went today because it's close to my office. I can say I definitely won't be back. I knew exactly what I wanted so when the cashier asked me if I needed help literally within 2 seconds of stepping into the store, I politely declined her help. I went to the section I needed and began to search for the brand of vitamin I wanted. Now keep in mind, I doubt that even 2 full minutes have passed when I see 2 male workers, likely managers,running toward me with a crazed look on their faces.( think cartoon characters running and rounding a corner on one foot) that's exactly how they looked. RIDICULOUS!!! They both asked if I needed any "help". Again, I said not really,and just observed some of the other workers near the food area that appeared to be genuinely polite to me . I went ahead and made my purchase thinking to myself this never would have happened at Sevananda, my usual health food store. I don't feel bad about the minimal amount I spent today because I know this will be the last time. I will only spend my money where I feel comfortable and where my dollar is appreciated. I like all things health. I don't know how many times I have went to Sevananda planning to spend less than $20 and end up spending well over $100. This will not happen at this store, no way no how. They probably can care less about my little money and that is just fine. Hopefully, they will care about this review and make changes on behalf of their customers. Every time I step into this store I feel kindness from each employee. Everyone is able to answer any questions I have. Each person is very caring. The manager has always gone above and beyond and has even donated towards a fundraiser that I put on. They have a huge variety of probiotics, vitamins, essential oils, foods, and anything you could want. I also love getting their delicious smoothies from the smoothie bar. You want some not toxic toothpaste? This is the place to go. They also have herbs and teas in bulk. Buy what you need. Don't overlook this nondescript building. Go in and look around. I recently purchased the Home Blood Test kit from this store. This was after being informed that the testing advertised on their website was no longer being offered. When trying to perform the test, I learned that my blood clots easily when performing a finger prick. Also, the lancet provided can only be used once. The product was a total waste of my money. I sent an email to owner via website and stopped by the store. I purchased the production June 26, 2018, and to-date, I have received no response from the owner or store representative. I did not want a refund, but simply wanted to inform about a bad product. This product should be sold with a warning and only used by someone familiar with finger pricking. Store seemed okay, misleading information on website, but definitely a bad product. read more

I have been a patron of this business for about 3 years. I have introduced at least 4 people to this business as well. I guess management changed at some point because, on my second to last visit, I was followed around the store by a tall, skinny, Caucasian man who wore glasses, offering one-on-one service for my entire shopping experience, even though the store was full of people who could've used assistance. I ignored this behavior and thought that the guy was new. I went into the shop today with an older lady, (5th person I've introduced to the shop), to let her choose some products as my Christmas gift to her. Upon entering the store, a young, black female with locs ambushed us and asked if she could get something for us. I mentioned we were looking for cherry juice, and she took us straight to it and seemed to be waiting for us to leave. She offered more help, but we didn't need it at the time. We grabbed the store's product list and sat at a table in the cafe to go over which items would be best for my friend's arthritis. While making our list, the tall Caucasian man with glasses stared at us so intently that my elderly friend felt uncomfortable, offended, and humiliated. At that point, I stopped researching the product list and decided to purchase the items we had already found in the list. We got up and headed over to the loose herbs section, but before we could there (about 15-20 feet from where we were sitting), a younger Caucasian guy interrupted us to help us TWICE! I couldn't even have a conversation with my friend about the products because the staff was offering that extra "we know you're the type to steal" service, so at that point, I handed my basket to the young guy and told him he could just tag along. He seemed offended and asked if I wanted him to shop with me. I told him no but also explained that I wasn't being allowed to shop on my own so what was i supposed to do? He chuckled and lightened up as he got our herbs. The tall man with glasses stood at the register behind us and watched us, along with a short Caucasian woman with crinkly blonde hair, who was pointing, whispering, and smirking. My friend didn't even want to purchase her gift because of how we were being watched and followed, but I wanted her to have herbs that might make her feel better. The store has a great selection of vitamins, loose herbs, and other health products, but good luck getting a chance to find what you need if you don't look a certain way. I spent about $32 on items, some of which I knew I could get cheaper somewhere else, but I wanted my friend to have the experience that I used to have being able to explore the store and see the variety of items that she could use to initiate a healthier lifestyle. Needless to say, she wasn't impressed and she won't be back. I won't be back either, and I'll being telling everyone else I sent there to expect the treatment I received. read more
