I would give zero stars if possible…read more I originally visited this dentist because I was experiencing severe jaw pain, facial pressure, and distorted vision. I was genuinely concerned that I had a serious tooth issue causing these symptoms. X-rays and an exam were done, but I was told there was nothing wrong with my teeth. Despite that, I was referred to an endodontist anyway, which I paid for completely out-of-pocket. The endodontist confirmed it was not a tooth problem. Because my symptoms were continuing and worsening, I made the decision myself to go to the emergency room out of concern that something more serious could be happening. I underwent an EKG, CAT scan, and was even transported to the hospital for an MRI. After all of that, I was released with no answers. Following advice from a nurse practitioner at the hospital, I returned to this dentist requesting a referral to an oral surgeon for a TMJ evaluation. The dentist refused, stating she didn't think I had TMJ, and provided no further guidance, suggestions, or concern for what was clearly an ongoing and serious issue. I eventually sought out an oral surgeon on my own and finally got answers. The cause of all of this was nighttime teeth clenching/grinding (bruxism). The strain on my jaw muscles had irritated the trigeminal nerve, which was causing referred pain, pressure behind my eyes, and even vision disturbances. This could have been identified much sooner if the dentist had actually listened to my concerns and considered clenching/grinding as a possibility (which there was apparent evidence of). Instead, I went through unnecessary specialist visits, emergency testing, hospital bills, missing days of work, and weeks of stress -- when the solution was ultimately something as simple as a mouth guard. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. Patients deserve to be heard, taken seriously, and guided appropriately when dealing with potentially serious symptoms.

The staff is friendly and caring and the office is beautiful, clean and high tech. My husband has had 2 implants and Dr Bagwell called personally to check on him in the evening and weekend. I have had a crown made same day in the office, saving extra trips to the dentist. Dr Bagwell recently corrected my bite using the Sure Smile clear aligners. She referred me to an endontist for two root canals and gave me an appointment for two crowns afterwards to the tune of $6000+. Aside from sticker shock, I was uncomfortable doing that since they hadn't been able to see the problem on xray. Dr. Nawrocki has been our dentist since we moved to Cocoa Beach 13 years ago. I called him to get his opinion. He immediately called in a prescription for an antibiotic and advised me to let him know if that helped. 3 days later the pain was gone, so he said I could wait until I got back. 2 weeks later his x ray showed a large abscess on one tooth. 2 weeks and 1 root canal after that the problem was solved and I have two beautiful new crowns for 2/3 of the price I was quoted in Wisconsin. After spending several thousands of dollars and (now I know) unnecessary pain, I was left with a front tooth that was the wrong shape, was too thick, was the wrong color and they hadn't told me that instead of a veneer, they shaved it down so much it was now a crown. I was devastated. I found Dr. Rutsis and they immediately got me in and agreed that "it's good enough" (what the previous dentist told me) wasn't the standard they held themselves at. They had me go to the lab where the veneer was created to actually get it color matched. At the previous dentist, everytime they worked on the tooth, they gave me shots, so I had 4 shots in the same place over a period of a couple months. My mouth was extremely sore and I was terrified when Dr. Rutsis was going to put the new tooth on. To my surprise, I didn't need a shot. There was no yanking, pulling or drilling like before. The difference was surreal. The greatest thing though was when she was done, the replacement looked beautiful. It matched perfectly, my smile was back!!! I literally broke into happy tears and all the ladies at the office were just as happy for me. I feel like I not only found a gem of an office but I made a handful of supportive friends through the experience. Today I went back to get some cavities filled....something I've put off for years because of all the horrid experiences I've had with dentists.
