The owner also have another location named Little Treasures. Early on there were issues, I always brought the issues and concerns to the director's attention. Issues started out with simple yet concerning things. At the time my son was an infant and out of 5 days 4 days he'd come home with mucus all over his face. There was literally one teacher (BAILEY) I felt truly cared for my ETHNIC children. The difference being made between my children and the caucasian children became so frustrating for me, i consistently addressed concerns and there were always excuses. A little girl even had the nerve to tell my daughter that her skin color was wrong and that hurt my oldest daughter feelings for a long while. A teacher have pushed my second oldest daughter into the wall, she came home with her face swollen. Every time i brought things to their attention they were always dazed and confused (they protect each others lies) yet anytime my ETHNIC children did ANYTHING normal they'd do an incident report. Like one time when my son had just turned 1 he bit another baby (we know this happens) they wrote an incident report. My son have come home with busted lips and scratches all over his face and they didn't have the same energy. i was even asked in a sarcastic tone after complaining if i wanted a report. One adult have basically called my children liars and i had to get hostile because if i chastise my child for wrong doing an adult have nothing to say to my minor. They show favor among the children terribly. When i was about to withdraw my children they assured me it wasn't what i think it is and they loved having my children, so i then started working for the owner to keep a lookout on things for the sake of my children it BARELY got better. I'm a 5/6 year business owner and my schedule is pretty flexible i went to the job faithfully at little treasure, i learned the bulk of the job in less than 3 months. Let me just say, the teachers ARE RUDE and i felt they were overly demanding due to my ethnicity. Gut feeling never steered me wrong. I would speak and be cordial most would look right at me and turn their heads (universal racist gesture) some made snotty remarks i have ignored several times in so little time, they didn't do their duties after the children meals and snacks. Monday April 12, 2021 I was just over it and overwhelmed. Any time i did mention anything before i got to this point the owner had excuses, or just say she would talk to them it didnt improve. This particular day I came up short and forgot the nursery because i didn't get the children count(which i asked her when i first started if i could just get the numbers myself) she declined the help which was fine but it made sense if i was the one responsible for their meals. She came and told me (which was fine) but then she made a snobby remark when i told her i didn't have numbers. my main focus was serving the babies, so it didn't sit well with me seeing that every since she turned down the help i made sure to get numbers. Once i was done serving the children i went to her office and i was in tears because i truly wanted and needed this to work and i hoped they weren't racist and i said to her, "I see why nobody wants to stay in the kitchen, you guys are unruly. I am cordial and respectful." Her response to me was no where as remorseful as she are with her caucasian employees and most of them barely doing their jobs, they are on their phones children getting hurt right in front of them. I didn't leave her establishment messy, i cleaned up and i did not serve afternoon snack, i was just over it the whole situation. In the midst of me cleaning i look up to see one of the RUDEST teachers wearing a confederate hoodie comfortably talking to the owner, which confirmed how i been feeling. IF YOU HAVE ETHNIC CHILDREN DO NOT SEND THEM TO LITTLE RASCALS OR LITTLE TREASURES IN DUBUQUE. I tried so hard with them. I would like to thank the toddler teachers at little treasures they were always kind and respectful, the director at little rascals , BAILEY ,SABRIE AND GORDON as well. TO THE OWNER I WISH YOU WELL, FROM ONE BUSINESS OWNER TO ANOTHER BUT THIS IS NOT OK
