I recently had foundation work done on my home by Hercules. They were upfront and honest with pricing and offered a fair discount for Veterans and paying in cash, which I appreciated. The crew that came out was professional, respectful, and worked extremely hard--they got the job done in just 24 hours, even though the estimate was for five days. That said, the communication side of things felt overwhelming to me. Before I even signed a contract, I was getting constant phone calls and texts pushing for a deposit. I understand they wanted to secure the job, but it felt a bit intense, especially for someone going through this for the first time. After the job was done, I didn't get a follow-up check to confirm if the house was properly leveled. My son saw them move the house, but we were never told how much it was lifted or if everything is now where it should be. I was just advised not to repair any cracks or paint for 6-8 weeks--but I don't know if someone is supposed to come back at that point to check the leveling again? I paid half down and the rest was requested immediately after the job finished--again, through a flood of messages and calls. It was just a lot all at once, and in hindsight, I wish I had waited until I could give the process my full attention. Overall, the crew was great, the work was done quickly, and the price was fair. I just wish the communication had been more balanced and that there had been more clarity post-job. After noticing some cracked tiles, and sticking doors, it was time to have my foundation inspected. Other houses in my neighborhood had been experiencing the same thing. My heart was also cracking, as I was not prepared for this large expense. After consulting another company, we opted for a second opinion. The wife did some research and stumbled upon Hercules. Hercules came out, took measurements, and noticed the back half of our house had dropped. The measurements were very minor, so a foundation repair was not recommended. The first company suggested this as well, so we were happy, and appreciated the honesty. Fast forward a year later. More broken tiles. Both companies came back out and said the house had dropped a half inch more. The numbers were only a little worse, but the decision came down to wait till more cracks and damage occur, or go ahead and bite the bullet. The first company said my house required 8 pillars, and charged extra for the hydra static test. Hercules recommended 12 pillars, and threw in the hydra static test... Or so we thought.. Payment was made and the date was set. I was at work when the work started, so my wife held down the fort while they worked. They came in and did the job in three days, and did a good job. The process was explained well from start to finish. The house did experience some new cracks after the house flexed, but I anticipate the repairs to be somewhat easy. On the last day, the hydra static was conducted. While Zach attempted the test, his pump broke. Obtained a bicycle pump from the neighbor next door and attempted again. The wife said the test was inconclusive, and poorly explained. Now, we are left to pay someone else to complete the test. By this time I was home from work. The crew was finishing up, and the crew was having smoke breaks. While I did not care about the smoking, what I did care about was my yard. Although I'm not up for HOA yard of the month, I did NOT appreciate my yard littered with cigarette butts. My yard was littered with it seemed like a dozen butts. Few weeks later, I was contacted by some sort of engineer. He needed to come out and take final measurements. I gave him a time to meet my wife and requested he call prior to showing up. He ended up showing up early, and unannounced. Poor punctuality and unprofessional. I did ask Zach if he would come back and complete the test correctly. Zach later said he came out a couple days later and completed the test and it failed. He said he contacted my wife and told her. My wife, and my security cameras say otherwise and say that he did not come back. In the interest of staying married, and the fact my wife is always honest with me, I side with my wife and do not think she is a liar. Overall, I was satisfied. Had the Marlboro men not littered in my yard, and the hydra static test not been a sham, this would have been 5 stars, easily. I recommend them, but, there is room for improvement here. We've used Hercules twice, for the back of our home and to the front of our home. Both times, they've sent out great crews who worked hard and efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner. They literally did the digging in one day and came back the next to place the piers and was done both times in 2 days. There was a slight hiccup with our grounding rod this last time though that was dug out and not placed back where it was supposed to be. After going back and forth with the foreman, the owner reached out and handled the situation and we were able to have an electrician come out and put it back how it's supposed to be. All in all, this company does great work and will be recommended by me to any and everyone who needs foundation repair. read more

We just had our foundation repaired by Hercules Foundation. Everyone I dealt with was very respectful and friendly. They seem to truly care about how I (since I was home with our small dog throughout the process) was handling it and that my dog and I were OK. The crew on the job even brought our trash bin up on garbage pick up day, offered to bring in my groceries when I picked up a few necessities, and placed my package deliveries in the garage for me. Hercules got paid and now they are non existence --- I thought they were an honest company but no more. the crew that they brought out to my house were hard workers but no knowledge on how to do things right. they left a mess beyond words we had to paid another foundation company to clean up the mess they left behind. we have been calling for 3 weeks and the supervisor hasn't returned our call. when we call the main office all I get is blah blah nothing solid n they want me off the phone. we are still working on having Hercules fix the cement mess they did on our front porch. it's disgusting what they did but all we get is -- John will call you n now his phone is saying disconnected or not taking calls. My husband called the main office to speak with the owner but the call went into voicemail. My husband left a message asking that the owner return his call but no call back. Allen, who said he was the owner, who got annoyed when I told him I was getting another quote. He told me it was his right to refuse service to me, and therefore he added me to a do not service list. All I was trying to do was arrange financing and obtain another quote. Perhaps I still would have used them after the other quote, but given the Allen's attitude and him refusing to accept my job... A job he quoted at 17,000,I will take my business elsewhere! I just read another review regarding Allen. I have never dealt with anyone more unprofessional! He's nice until something doesn't go his way, and then his tone changes completely. As a follow-up, I just received my second quote, and it came in at $10,900! read more

I had my foundation work done 2 years ago. I have recommended to many people. They did send an engineer after, and everything looked great. They advised me to wait several months before doing repairs from the foundation damage, for example, mortar work and other damages I had from my foundation damage. McCoy was very professional and knowledgeable. I thought my home was shifting after they did the work. I can't remember why. Mccoy said he could come out and remeasure. We were in a drought. He said he could come out and remeasure, or I could give it till August to see if there was a difference and the problem resolved. read more

From the moment I called their office I was impressed by the help of Casey. I then was scheduled for one of their inspectors Allen who was accompanied by his son (this is a family ran operation I soon found out.). Allen and Collin both were excellent and thorough with their findings and decided that I needed 18 steel piers. I signed the contract and moved forward with the process. They came out in 2 weeks and completed the job in 3 days. The crew was very nice and quick, even replaced some of my old fence boards for free. Mike was the one overseeing the job who I will say is very talkative but not always a bad thing in this trade. After completion they cleaned up well and that was it. House wasn't level, piers were placed in the wrong spots and they used wood shims etc. So bad that even their engineer wouldn't certify the work. After I paid them 20k, they breached their contract. When searching to buy a house one of my biggest fears was finding a nice house with a crap foundation. Unfortunately this is exactly what happened. Found the house I wanted, put the offer in and yay home ownership right? Hell no! This adult life is bulls^*%. I found out the previous owners/sellers had polished a turd and I was stuck with it. Luckily after checking around I found Hercules. Not only were they quick to help me but they didn't rape me on price either. If I ever move or buy another home I'm having them check the foundation first and if it's a "must have" house then I'll hire them to fix it too. read more

I needed the project complete ASAP as we are under contract to get the home sold and closed. They were fast and use the best system on the market to stabilize the slab. Hercules Foundation Repair and Remodeling claims they "go the distance" and ensure their family-owned business is ran by a professional, courteous crew. They guarantee superior quality in their work, partly because the company is allegedly staffed by the family that owns it. Interestingly enough, they frequently sub-contract without informing the customer, so you may get superb service (if the five star reviews are to be trusted) or you may get Allen Alexander cursing you out over the phone after he insults your intelligence. Based on other people's experiences with this company, it seems that their professionalism comes at a price and if you're not the person with their payment, they will be happy to insult you with the eloquence of a 13-year-old. Allen Alexander and his family-owned company dug up the driveway without notifying us first. as a result our vehicle was trapped inside the garage. Instead of addressing the concern like a human being with even the most basic customer service experience, he decided to tell us we are in the wrong for not knowing how they do their jobs, being unable to foretell they'd be trapping us inside the garage, incompetent at driving since we were not keen on maneuvering our sudden driveway turned off-roading course, and closed it up by using very fun, colorful language that sensible eyes may not be prepared to read here. His parting line: "you're the tenant, so my contract is with the owner not with you" at which point he proceeded to hang up. Truly a pinnacle of professionalism, which was to be expected from the same man that had been: dodging phone calls, not showing up for pre-established appointments and inspections of the house his company had already completed work at, lying in general. So if you feel like playing customer service Russian roulette, and want shoddy work completed at your house, by all means--hire these guys. Recently I noticed some cracks in my ceiling, walls and flooring so I reached out to these guys to see if they could provide some answers as to what's causing them and verify if it was something I needed to even worry about. When I called to make an appt they did an awesome job of working with my busy schedule to find a time where I could be there to let them in for the inspection. A few days later they arrived to take their measurements & it was discovered that one side of my house was falling... dang.. Good news is they had the fix! They'll be installing Concrete Piers in a horseshoe shape around that side of the house to anchor it in place. This will protect me from further damage and hopefully close up some of the gaps in between the bricks/wood I've been noticing! I'm sad to say I'll be fixing the foundation on a house I just bought but happy to say these are the guys I'm working with. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! POSSIBLE SCAM! On 09/19/2020 I requested an estimate from this vendor for foundation repair work on my home. The initial appointment on 09/23 with Allen was a no call no show; when he did show up, he blamed his office manager Casey for the mix-up. While assessing my home, he repeatedly asked me about my credit and if I would be able to secure funding because this project was going to be expensive. Upon leaving, he told me he was going to send me a written estimate and a link to apply for credit but for me to go ahead and apply for credit while he writes the estimate. More than thirty days pass and I still did not hear from him nor did I receive a written estimate or the link to apply for credit. So I applied and received credit from SOFI Personal Loans and selected another vendor who provided a written estimate and was very responsive to all my inquiries. On 11/05 Allen calls me wanting to come over and sign a contract because he found out that I received funding for my project. Again, I asked for my written estimate and he ignored my question and mentioned signing a contract again so he can start work. On 11/06 I received a text from Casey to set up an appointment to sign the contract and I immediately replied that I would not be signing a contract with them because I never received a written estimate and I am concerned that the estimate amount is now going to be contingent on the amount I borrowed. On 11/17 Allen shows up at my house (his office is 45 miles away) angry and belligerent because I did not choose to do business with him. As he is standing on my porch chastising me for the decision I made, I told him to get off my property and I went back in the house and retrieved my weapon from the gun safe. When I returned he was gone so I call the police and filed a report. Please choose wisely when researching vendors for your projects. After several months, the company did finally issue a refund check. I also had a warranty claim for work that was done on another project and they did go back to repair twice.
