Krista created a practical project plan tailored to my vision for the future of the property. She explained all aspects fully and responded quickly to multiple contacts from me to ask additional questions. Most of my questions were to compare materials and methods between my top two candidates for the project. I discovered that the items that made the other bid more expensive really made the job easier for their crew, but did not provide greater value to me. I had two crews for my project working inside, placing 7 piers, and outside, placing 18 piers. All the crew members were very quiet, polite and kept things very clean throughout the two days. I appreciate all the hard work done by Chris, Christopher, Justin, Glenn, and Dariun. Jairo, John, Michael, Antonio, Alejandro, and Humberto took extra care to keep everything progressing smoothly while responding to my questions or concerns. I did end up having some plumbing issues that were caused by the foundation lift. This was explained to me in detail before the project. The damage occurred during the lift and not during the preparations by Risen. I was so glad that I had chosen Risen, as I still had funds left for all subsequent repairs. 5-stars!

They also added a root barrier to keep our trees from undoing what works they had done. For the most part, it's hard to see even where they did their work. Cleanup was 100%. They took excellent care of us. You never want to use them, but if you have foundation issues, they are the ones you want to call. Trel Lloyd was our rep and he treated us like family. I don't have before and after pictures ready to post, but, in our case, you could easily see the improvements in sheet rock and tile cracks. A-freaking-mazing.

Chris did not try to oversell me piers or steel beams or interior piers that I knew were not necessary. He gave me a very fair bid and communicated well the entire time. Communication is severly lacking with many of these foundation companies for whatever reason. The crew came out and installed the piers and leveled my house with care as if it was their own house. I was very nervous about the process but his crew has it down to a science and did it perfectly. When I get a good contractor it makes me deeply happy because there are so many sheisters and flakes. Five Star Foundation was hired to do a leveling job for the church. Question..Am I wrong to expect…read morea company to show up when they say they will, and work a full day on a job they are getting paid to do? Instead, the church keeps getting rescheduled time and time again. When they finally show up, they work a couple of days and then don't come back until almost a week later. When I question this and express dissatisfaction, I 'm given a laundry list by Cody of all the things he has happening and what's going on with his crew as to why he can't get my job done now. Week after week, the job gets delayed by Cody. The church has a big event coming up, and I explain to Cody that I need to get this job done in a reasonable time. Now he accuses me of rushing him. Over a month later, when the job is said to finally be complete, it is inspected and discovered all the blocks underneath is done wrong. He fixed part of it, and left the church with the expense of repairing the rest of what we had already paid him for. The church requested part of our money back. Cody has gone silent. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

This company has since changed all their numbers, their website, has an additional new website, and their service areas no longer includes Houston. (They have 2 listings on yelp.) We attempted to chat with them on the new website, sent through their request form a follow up on the termination and refund still owed, tried calling the new number, they did not respond back initially. After more unfavorable reviews were posted, we were told twice that they "wanted to make this right" and we would get a refund. In fact, they wanted us to sign an agreement to stop posting unfavorable reviews of their company and remove current ones to get our refund. We still have not been refunded any of our money. Check out other review sites, (I can provide a large listing.) There are multiple complaints on this company and by others that have been treated similarly. KPRC2 (Click2Houston) also has done a couple of news story on this company for the complaints.
