We have a large, rustic property that has very rough terrain, and we are trying to turn it into our home. We needed to create outdoor living space and correct some significant problems with drainage and elevation. Before we started work with Two Men & A Hoe, we had some ideas of what we wanted to achieve, but we thought everything about our property was either too expensive or impossible. As soon as they started work, they quickly made us realize that nothing was really impossible, and there were many solutions within our budget. From that point onward, they took every idea we had and made it better than what we had even hoped. They solved problems and provided creative ideas to generate options beyond what we thought possible. All the while, they were very mindful of our time and our budget. Since our fist job with them, we have had them out several times as our ideas have grown, and we will probably have them out again for future projects. The end result is this: we are simply overjoyed. Before Two Men & A Hoe, our outdoor space was not usable. 1 star I rented a roll-off dumpster from Dumpster Dogs for a…read moreproperty I was moving out of. The rental included 14 days, with a $5/day fee for any extra days. I finished with the dumpster and left the property for good, assuming it would be picked up on day 14 as agreed. Instead, the dumpster sat there for over 40 additional days. Nobody from the company ever called or checked in to ask if I still needed it -- not at 30 days, not at any point. I only found out it hadn't been picked up when I was hit with a bill for an extra $265 in overage fees. A simple courtesy call after a couple weeks of "overdue" status would have caught this immediately. Instead I got a bill nearly a month and a half after the fact for a dumpster I wasn't even using and had no way of knowing was still sitting there. Really disappointed -- a basic check-in policy would have prevented this entirely.

We reached out to Enrique after fighting with a previous concrete company which poured a patio that was unusable to us for the intended purpose of holding a hot tub and pergola. Although we ultimately had to remove the prior work at extra cost, this put us in a great position to see how impressive Enrique was with his demeanor and work ethic. He answered all of our exhaustively once-bitten-twice-shy questions patiently and spent as much time as we needed to hash out patio designs and make a decision moving forward. When the work day came around, Enrique himself was on-site the entire time overseeing everything and delivered exactly what we agreed upon. Since he was removing the old patio and pouring a new one he gave us a break on the price of demo / removal which we very much appreciated and the end result is a night and day difference. The patio correctly slopes away from the house then has a near-flat section for the hot tub before sloping again for water flow. The difference is just a few degrees and unnoticeable just looking at it but the drainage is excellent and the hot tub water is near level. Enrique also added an extra layer of rebar underneath where we had the hot tub planned. Now that we've been using the patio for a few months there's been no settling or cracking. The project went quickly, even with the threat of rainy weather, and the cleanup was good. No mess left behind.
