The foreman, Stephan, reviewed the scope of the job with us and he and his crew got to work immediately, cutting up a large elm that had fallen by our house and several other large trees that had been damaged in a storm. They were ALL extremely courteous and respectful, not to mention hard-working. They used safe working practices and were professional in all aspects of the job. This last tree was corned in a tight 8 foot space between my new AC, my neighbor's carport, and my house. Since we have lost around 10 big trees in my neighborhood with all this crazy weather, I was nervous about this one. The two young me worked from 8:30-3:30, trimming bushes, trees, and removing an entire tree. They were methodical, picking up and chipping the branches. When they were finished with all the trimming and chipping, they blew the debris and raked both yards. My yard never looked so pristine! Lawson…read moreEddy and his remarkable crew came to trim ten of our 100- to 200-year-old live oak trees about a year ago. We were especially impressed with Lawson's extensive knowledge on the subject of oak wilt and his attention to detail when sterilizing all of his equipment to prevent passing that disease along to our trees. He and his crew also made sure each cut was painted to help prevent it from attracting infected beetles. We were amazed by the speed and "choreography" of the crew as they worked in the canopies of the trees. These talented men seem to really love and enjoy what they do. They are not simply cutting limbs off trees, but instead, they seem to be sculpting as they work and creating pieces of art. We have received many compliments on the shape of our trees. Yesterday we noticed a 3 to 4 foot vertical crack in one of our oak trees due to recent high winds during a storm. We called Lawson about noon, and he was here within two hours to inspect the damaged tree. He presented us with several options. His objective was to save as much of this 200-year-old tree as possible by reducing the amount of weight and stress on the damaged area, and giving it time to heal itself. He and his crew of six men came today and carefully removed the limbs above the wound, artfully reshaped the tree, cleaned up, and even raked up a little pile of leaves from the lawn under the tree. They were finished in less than two hours, and the price was very reasonable especially since the branches they cut were hanging over our garage and had to be roped and brought down to the ground individually. We are so thankful that rather than just cutting down this beautiful old tree, Lawson found a way to save it. We cannot recommend Lawson Eddy and his crew at Texas Tree Service highly enough. We came home from a weekend away to find a large hackberry tree had fallen in our side yard. The…read moreluckiest part about the whole ordeal was that the tree had fallen on our newly installed fence with metal posts, so it was cradled/suspended in the air, and therefore narrowly missed damaging our home or our neighbors home. I knew that this was not something I was going to be able to handle on my own due to the precarious way the tree was suspended and the tight space that the work would need to be done within. I called Lawson that day (it was a Saturday) and he was out to our property quick as a flash to assess the damage. He explained his process and promised that no additional damage would occur if he and his team were hired for the job. His price was fair, and he didn't push us to do an emergency weekend removal. He looked at the weather report and saw that the conditions would be fair and therefore he felt comfortable leaving the tree to be taken care of during normal business hours on Monday. We were the first call that day and I received a call when the work was starting as well as a call letting me know that it had been completed. Lawson even trimmed a low hanging branch off another tree that was obstructing our driveway for nothing additional. We have several more trees that need attention, and we plan to continue to use Lawson and his crew to take care of our property. He knows trees! Since we moved here, we had hired multiple people to mow the lawn, but the weeds were out of control and we were having pest issues. From the start, Rod has been extremely helpful in diagnosing the problems with our lawn and following through with the treatments. Great communication, so many other lawn mowers we've had in the past have basically ghosted us. With Rod and his team, we are not only knowing when the lawn will be mowed but he is also keeping track of the weeds, pests, and fungi. Our weeds are not yet gone, but it seems like the pests are, based on the way the grass is growing in. Rod continues to help spray the weeds and keep an eye on them as he comes for our biweekly mowing. The lawn is looking healthier than when we moved in! Amazing value as well - lawn maintenance isn't cheap these days. Looking forward to our continued service.
