Horrible, horrible company! I signed up for Yelp just to be able to write this review! I had an…read moreurgent medical emergency that my doctor's office wanted to see me that same day so they made me an appointment by squeezing me in to their schedule. Unfortunately, when I called Medicaid to get a ride, Young Transportation was the ONLY option for getting a ride on that day. Now I know why, it is because I believe nobody else wants to use them and they are the absolute worst choice! After I called Young to confirm my ride, their dispatcher named Sally said yes that I was definitely on their schedule and what time they would be picking me up. But later on, after waiting for 30 minutes, they never even showed. So after 30 minutes past my pick up time, I called and was told they had to cancel. No courtesy call, no explanation and no apologies! Sally said it was Medicaid's job to call me to let me know they had cancelled. But when I called Medicaid to report the incident with Young, they informed me that they don't make those types of calls to inform riders of a cancellation and that Young Transportation never cancelled my ride either and it was still listed on my account. So Sally lied about everything and I had to miss my important appointment! Please take this as a warning and do NOT ever try using them or give them the chance to have the business / $$. Very irresponsible, uncaring and sketchy company! At least I don't think they will be open much longer with these kinds of practices anyways!

So the driver back up (without a spotter) every morning in there own driveway and goes on break there. According to bus transportation rules a bus should only back up when no other way is possible and have a spotter outside the bus. This bus can turn around properly at the end of our dead end street, i.e. transportation rule 10.7.3. Speaking with Monroe they answered with can't do it, then it's okay if approved by the home owner to back into there driveway. This bus driver goes on break at there home, then back up in there driveway. This bus is parked in front of a fire hydrant too. When asking questions to the manager she thinks I'm causing trouble and was mean, rude, and dismissive to me. I could hear them talking about me in the background, they are not professional. A driver should not stop at there home and should not back up when another way is easily driven to. I would never recommend this management to work anywhere! The driver got lost on the way, drove through 3 red lights according to more than one guest, and then would not pull into the Packetts Landing parking lot, although there are more than one entrance they could easily have used. The driver insisted they disembark on the main street, and walk. We called after they were left off, and asked John Halldow if he could instruct the driver to please pick them up in the parking lot, as there were several elderly guests. He replied the driver was a "professional", and knew what they were doing. In my opinion, she was not a professional. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Safety and customer service are NOT in their vocabulary.

I live in Avon, NY, which is about a half hour from Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This taxi service refused to come pick me up and bring me home. Which left me scrambling to find another taxi service to bring me home, which I was lucky enough to find. The man for this taxi service was rude and uncaring. He is very unprofessional and should not be taking riders. Hence the no star rating. Better time spent looking for a medical taxi service, who actually does their job. Enough said...

My family and I have used Joan's service frequently over the past 5 months and are we glad we found…read moreher. Because we are frequent flyers we went through many taxi services before we found Joan. She actually came highly recommended by a friend. With our 2 sons in college they too travel often and Joan has always picked all of us up on time and we really love her mini van. It is a releif to know that she has always been there when asked of and most importantly we know our children are in good hands with Joan. They love her too! Joan, if you see this please see that we appreciate the service you provide to us....
