I called when they opened, said they did a ticket and Alesha would call me back after her client. Noon still nothing. I called twice.. never heard from Alesha until I called her the next day because she called my husband who is unable to answer due to work.. shut his card off without talking about a different possible option. No heads up. Said she called him to inform him but that's not helping anything. When I called to pickup the card she said I couldn't because it was his. Okay.. after she started upsetting me by her tone and repetitiveness. I called someone else, they told me they could possibly send through the mail, Alesha got on the line and told me I couldn't get in the mail and he would have to pickup, this was with attitude, I told her he can't due to work and she kept telling me "it's policy, it's policy"..blah blah. Needless to say I called the Franklin branch, they were very proactive, THEY ARE SENDING A CARD THROUGH THE MAIL! So it was possible. I picked up a card today for an extra till it comes in, I will say that a girl who's name starts with a T who works at this location was very nice in giving me the card. Kudos to her! Alesha.. apparently she's an assistant manager... who doesn't know policy apparently. Idk.. if she doesn't know what she's doing, sounds like she shouldn't be an assistant manager.. let alone work there in any position. But if they insist on keeping her there for whatever reason, she highly needs re-training. She gave this whole situation a whole round and round with attitude, when a whole other location approached the problem professionally and quickly. Idk why it was so hard for Aleah's to do this. It was very unprofessional of her and needs to be addressed for additional training.

Once was in New York to deposit a check, the other two times were at the Franklin TN office. After my experience dealing with Luke at the front counter in Franklin, I am ready to close my account. I needed to go to the Fidelity office to wire money to Mexico since I am planning to purchase property there. During my first visit, Luke acted like it was a big inconvenience to send the wire. Given the difficulty he was having, I sensed he did not do this often. I returned two weeks later to send money to a different account in Mexico that I would use to purchase the property when it was time to close on the deal. Unfortunately, Luke was still working the counter. This time, he made several odd remarks like : "How many accounts do you have in Mexico". Then he asked what the money was used for because "people" questioned him after the transaction. I said that I told you the purpose during my last visit. Then I asked what he said. He responded "To help a friend in Mexico pay bills". At this point, I was very upset and said no, it was to purchase property. He said, "we'll I didn't remember because I do a lot of wire transfers".. Really, based on his lack of competence, I would say he doesn't do many. I have received far better customer service at banks where I carry a fraction of the amount I have with Fidelity. I see no point doing business with a company that treats its customers so rudely.

So I'm trying to make a mortgage payment, and I walk into the lobby with the account number and my…read moredebit card for my other bank and asked to make a payment on my mortgage. I'm told that they cannot use my debit card to make a payment in the lobby and so I will have to exit drive around to the back and use the ATM to pull out cash and then come back into the lobby to deposit the cash to make the payment. I then pull up to the machine and there's an message on the ATM screen that says something in regards to our CS updating. So now I'm waiting for it to complete whatever it must do and try to take out the cash to make a payment. Their machine limits me to only $500 per transaction. So now it cost me an additional eight bucks to make a payment on the account with First Bank. I go back into the lobby and asked to deposit the physical cash into the mortgage account, and the Teller proceeds to count the money multiple times and then put it into a bill counter to electronically. Count the money multiple times. A transaction that should've taken probably 30 seconds took an upwards of five minutes, there was also something about the computer a digit from the account number, which one to tell her, then has to ask what I can only presume to be his manager. Don't get me wrong, they were super friendly, but the entire exchange which should've been purely transactional, and probably the last less than under 60 seconds took at least five minutes of which I will never get back. It just seems to me that the bank is stuck in the 1990s. Perhaps they should take a clue from some of the emerging Fintech companies that are crushing these traditional banks with lots of features, low or no fees, and expedited transactions. I suspect this bank has these convoluted processes to try and convince patrons to become customers of First Bank.
