Went today and had a great time. It was quiet and serene. The new lady that works there helped me with the air compressor, that's free to use, to fill my raft. There's a concession stand selling drinks and snacks. It only costs $8.00 for the whole day and kids under 12 are free. The "beach area" is very clean and there is even a new diving platform which is huge. The new woman who works there is very sweet and answered all my questions. Only reason for 4 stars, the road in is kinda bumpy. We will be going back!! read more

This place has a lot of potential if the owner would only enforce the rules I was handed a list of rules that were violated throughout the campground.. People had propane bottles stored outside, tarps over their campers, window units hanging out of camper windows and trash around almost all of them. read more

Mostly live ins and run down, really run down. Could be an awesome place. Needs cleaned up and things torn down- old building and such. Hopefully they can get things back where they need to be for campers . No way you could a large camper or 5th wheel in campground. Very narrow road with close trees. read more

Went with the family for a day swim. Since it wasn't the weekend it was very quite. The bathrooms are very clean as is the beach area. The water was very clean and inviting. We will definitely will go again. read more

Terrible! 5th wheel owners beware... Once you get off the black top and start down the crappy dirt path, life will suck. No where to turn around and the obstacles, trees and junk laying around will impress you. Once you get to the site (1 mile), the place is full of trash, junk, and full timers living in junk. They say they have pull throughs, but the trees and overgrowth is unbelievable to maneuver through and even more worse to get out of.... There is only one way in and one way out. Place might have been nice many, many years ago, but not that way now. read more

So we have camped here a couple times in our pop-up. To say the least both times the visits were ok. The biggest problem is Amy, the owner. Beside the rules that she has posted she has a bunch of rules that apparently only she knows about. Don't put your kayaks on the tree roots and such. On to the real reason for this review. Drove by there to ask some questions as we have a new travel trailer. Asked Amy if she had something that would fit our 30 foot travel trailer and she said yes. Asked if we could see the site and she said no I don't have time to show you. Asked if she minded if we went and took a look ourselves and she no you have to leave now. What? As I have stated nice location and beautiful site but dealing with Amy is near impossible. She needs to learn a little about customer service. read more

When we arrived, without reservations, Amy welcomed us like family. It was like we were friends that she had not seen in a while and was happy to see and wanted to make sure all of our needs were met. We were traveling with my brother-in-law and his wife. She has a beautiful campground with a grand spring feed private lake. A great place, and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. We spent three nights here in a Class "A" Motor Home. read more

This is the place for folks who want a touch of 'wild' in their camping experience. I was there in the spring of '18. It's obviously a work-in-progress, with buildings in various stages of renovation and some infrastructure not working. But the Sadlers, pere & fils, helped me with an electrical problem. The lake was busy with a gaggle of kids, who immediately welcomed my dog and started throwing frisbee for her. (We left the beach and went down to where the dog could jump in, as it was a 99-degree day-- in April.) The bathroom was clean. I didn't take a shower, preferring to jump in with the kids and dog. There is a trail that leads around the lake, and you can hear the bullfrogs at night and a full chorus of birdsong in the morning. Too much wild for you? I loved it. read more

wish I could give this place "no stars"! I have been staying at this campground many time over many years. It use to be kept up to date, safe, friendly host/owner, and overall great place to be. There would be cookouts and special events for the children to do. Amy Sadler would welcome everyone and help you out in anyway. She would decorate for each holiday and made the place feel like a home away from home. We would never have to worry about leaving our travel trailer and going to see the local area for the day. New owners took over this place in 2016 and it is a mess now! Trash everywhere (beer bottles esp), people come and go out of your camping area, none of the games for children are up to date or even working anymore. Basketball area has junk where children are suppose to be playing at. Broken beer bottles in bath house area and they look like they have not been clean in months! At night you can hear people down at the lake yelling, drinking, and pretty much partying till they pass out. None of the rules are followed and its just a free for all now. It's sad to see the way this place has turned out. A teenager is running the place and of course, its just all about the money and not campers. Don't waste your time going. read more
