The landlord is super nice, the grounds are very clean, the people that live there are extremely friendly and very helpful, and the pond and area are absolutely beautiful! You can even fish in the pond. This place is like a little slice of heaven. Oh, and the rent is just right! I really can't say enough good things about this place. If I ever go back to living in an RV, this the only place I will stay.

There is a laundromat about 8 miles away. There's plenty of shopping choices within a few miles. Food Lion & Dollar General are a short drive away (8-9 miles). Burlington is 12-ish miles away & has most any store or restaurant one might need. The landscaping is lovely, with a variety of flowers all around the park. Attentive owners, reasonably priced, clean, & quiet. We were here for a couple of months while my husband was working in the area. If he ever gets called back, this is the RV park we'll call 1st. Plenty of shopping options within a short drive.

The Carver Creek State Park is broken into two different sections: Long Valley Farm Access (with the historic Rockefeller Retreat House) and the Sandhill Access (just flat trails for hikers/horses). They are about 20 minutes apart. Between the two, I'd go to the Long Valley Farm Access since the history component whereas the other is just trails. Overall, there is really not much else here and you can complete it within an hour an a half or so. The loop is 2 miles long, but if you go straight back then it's about 1.5 miles total.

There's a concession stand selling drinks and snacks. It only costs $8.00 for the whole day and kids under 12 are free. They even reopened the store after closing so our kids could go fishing, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really set the tone for our stay. We had a full hookup pull-through site with more than enough space for our 44' RV. The campground offers plenty of activities for kids, including a jump pillow, playground, pond fishing, and a pool. We also enjoyed the scenic walking trail around the pond. The bathrooms were very clean, and the laundry facilities were surprisingly affordable. There was even a spacious dog park for our furry family members to enjoy. Overall, this campground was welcoming, well maintained, and family friendly. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

He assisted us in backing into the proper position....he made sure we knew where the services on our site. Very quiet park....twice weekly onsite trash pick up....felt very secure......comes with cable and lots of over the air T V. Electricity is extra....propane refill in the park at a reasonable price. We stayed for a month....very resonable. We were here for a surgery at Duke Medical Center which is about a half hour drive. Several historical points of interest close by....theater....botanical gardens....lots of college sports and attractions. No on site Laundry....however several laundromats in the near by town....several grocery stores and restaurants of a nice variety and shopping within a 20min. Drive..... And the Staff handout goodies to the Dogs.....the Dogs love the Friendly Staff too.

It was a great hike both easy and slightly challenging. Raven Rock was beautiful and many photo opportunities were available. There are several stairs that you will walk down and remember you will have to come back up. Walking at a steady pace going up and down the stairs will definitely raise your heart rate but isnt to challenging. The Visitor Center is nice with a short history display to walk through, t-shirts for sale, bathrooms, park maps and the attendant was most helpful in letting us know which trails have the best views. There are benches strategically placed on the trail as well as containers to dispose your trash and recycleables. There are no restrooms on the trails. There is no cost to walk the trails. There are a few shelters located within the park. We will definitely go back again.

Quiet and peaceful, I stayed four nights here in early April 2021. This RV park has a mix of…read more"permanent" residents (some of these trailers look like maybe they haven't moved in years) and transients like myself. Contractors, residents and even a few military folks that must be commuting from the nearby military base (one guy has a high end Class A and a Tesla). I had a pleasant stay, finding it nice for doing some remote work from the table in my Class C. The park has a few kids but they don't make much noise. The folks coming and going were quiet enough. It's likely because the manager (owner?) lives on site and can keep an eye/ear on things. It's far enough from civilization that it was placid, with a large lake that has the occasional boater (mostly rowboats and canoes) and pole fisher. I had a few walks around the park to get some exercise and it's nice. Keep an eye out for the occasional dog owner that doesn't pick up. The bathhouse was very nice with plenty of good hot water. Showers were in stalls with curtains, much like something you'd see in your local fitness center or YMCA. There is a laundry with washer and dryer for $1 each load. Some kind soul had left detergent on the shelf, so thanks for that! Perfectly okay here and no one disturbed my stuff. The electric and water hookup at my pad worked perfectly fine. The black water dump on the way out was also good enough and that's where the trash dumpster was located. Standard stuff if you don't mind storing black water for a couple of days and dumping it on the way out. The water from the tap at my site was clean - TDS rating as low as that from my kitchen sink back in Charlotte. No problems there. It wasn't a huge site but it fit my RV just fine and had a little bit of shade. Only two complaints. First, I was never able to connect to the wifi despite the printed password in the welcome guide. There are signals but my laptop and phone just wouldn't connect. I didn't ask for assistance, so that's on me. Second, the park is quite sandy in most areas. This means that you need to be careful not to track it back into your RV. I bought an indoor/outdoor rug and that helped some. The park is at the end of a mile long sand track. I had no problem negotiating it at the posted 15 mph limit. I don't see the big deal. Yes, the office is a little cluttered but so what? I didn't spend any time there other than during my check in and when I returned to pick up a bathhouse key. There is a Walmart and other shopping/eats in Raeford, about 15-20 minutes away.
