The teachers only really care when your failing most don't even know how to teach and it's honestly the reason why my grades and multiple other kids grades started dropping grading more F's then A's. This school doesn't do nothing about bullying that's why the kids don't care anymore. Overall this school sucks it's only fun because of making friends. This year only 6th grade got to have an assembly and other grades were canceled just for a small group of students. Take my advice thank you for reading.

There is also a lot of discrimination at this school. So many people have racially harassed me that I just didn't feel comfortable going to school anymore. I've also seen it being done to other students; and the staff don't handle it well at all. I reported someone for using racist remarks towards me and all they got was a 1 day suspension. There is no use of reporting anything if they don't do anything about it. This school was certainly an experience, an experience no one deserves to go through. If you are zoned to this school, I deeply apologize for your misfortune.

The lunch staff and custodial staff are friendly and remember the kids names. The principal is in his second year at Penn. He has made a lot of changes to the look and feel of the school. The kids and parents are always welcome to talk to him at events. Great teachers at all grade levels from pre-K to 5th. I can't say enough about the staff at this school. There is a lot of parental involvement. There are a lot of events throughout the year for the students from field trips, movie night, ice cream social, science fair, reading fair, spelling bee, gym nights, spirit night at local restaurants, and more. There is a great deal of emphasis on the whole child...education, community, health and fun! I still have 3 years left and plan to keep my last two at Penn. I am a PTO member and a huge school volunteer. Penn is a great place to learn and grow.

With COVID, it was important to know that everything in there was less than a year old and that their staff is constantly cleaning. Second- let's talk about the staff. EVERY ONE that works there is amazing. They are not just nice and friendly, which is important, but they are inviting. I feel that they truly care about my child and that they care about my needs. Ms Roxanna is always working with my daughter, on reading, which is what I had asked. She is so patient and kind but strict enough to get what I request done. They are also always doing fun and educational stuff, even in the summer. Third- I mentioned they have been a blessing. Christin, the director, has truly been our guardian angel. Even when we first didn't sign up since we decided to enroll her in Kindergarten vs pre-k, she still kept tabs on us, just to see how we were doing. When my daughter's nanny could no longer work, Christin made sure that not only could they watch my child but they were able to pick her up from Kindergarten. No matter how crazy my schedule is, Christin and Kiddie Academy have been and are there for me, completely flexible and willing to work with me and my needs. My child has been to other daycares and I felt that at times, I was just a dollar sign. At Kiddie Academy, I feel like we are friends and family and they do truly care about my child.

5TH GRADE TRAUMA FOR Y'ALL! (warning: cursing)…read more so basically in this school (rating: 5/10) is not that good for my opinion because there are so many brainrotted kids, some pick-mes, and even bullies! Ugh! Am telling about my teachers and what they done to me. Reading/Writing Teacher: She is calm and serious but kind, she would help my grammars and fix my punctuation. My other teacher, ESOL, is not bad but she's nice, same thing to me. She speaks more than 3 languages I think. Social/Science Teacher: A very chill person. She would help me on instructions and step by step such as experiments and guiding paperwork. And a man who always calls me because I am in his group. He gives out reading sheets and is also a chill person Math Teacher: She is both unkind and kind towards me. I used to like her since forth grade because I thought she was pretty nice but turns out to be opposite. This motherfucker would scream at the whole entire class. She wouldn't even shut her bitch ass up. One time she called me out because I "cheated" (I was distracted) because I was doing some easy parts that weren't 5th grade because I saw one of these badges and I wanted to get them all by doing it one by one, not noticing or forgetting that I was ranking with other students, she called me out and I was like "uhm what does she want?" she yelled at me and at the whole class l was stunned and hold my tears (I was sensitive to loudness) at the end if class/schoolday I would talk to my teacher bout it and my mom. They both understand me but my ESOL teacher told me it wasn't okay. I didn't know but now I know. Another time again this math teacher gave all of us study guides and I took one, I was distracted again (just wait till I tell u why I get distracted) she came up to me and I snap out of my zoning and looked at her and she said "write the name". I wrote my name and she said "nope" and I did it again wrongily. And I didn't know but I wrote my name and this spoiled brat slam the extra piles of paper against her head and let's a dramatic groan so LOUD. "UUUUGGGGBHHHHH!"" and she started screaming! I was crying BC she was so loud like a fucking truck that honks loudly. Oh yeah I forgot there was another teacher that is in the same room as hers and she is so kinddd. When I was crying she gave me a tissue. And when this bitch came back she said "stop crying, am not dealing with this". Like this stupid whore just didn't care about my fucking feelings like this little shit didn't even care about me. She literally walk off like nothing happened. I hated her so much I pretend to like her. I know that's stupid but wtf is her problem ! She probably has brain damage or smth. During this time, I was a student and had to go to the office for errand reasons but this office staff had nothing better to do than taunt their students. Second of all, there was a particular math teacher that was incredibly horrible at helping her students. Once again, always making fun of her own students for not doing great in math. Wow. With the way she taught, she was always very discouraging. Third of all, just in general, the staff and faculty here is very inconsiderate and unkind. The attention to students is not great so if you decide to explain things out for questions or for whatever else, you won't get an answer Because they just don't care.
