I LOVE fabric. I have reupholstered many, many chairs and made pillows, bedding, and curtain swags…read more I am currently bored with my dining room chairs. But Denver Fabrics, long my go-to and most beloved source, closed long ago. I found this place online after searching for a specific type of fabric. They do have a brick-and-mortar location. However, ordering online is easy, and the prices (discounted from retail) are VERY good. Most of the fabrics that I bought were $10/yard! Shipping is both reasonably priced and fast. They have a vast selection of fabrics, including home decor, upholstery, and outdoor. I specifically searched for upholstery fabric by color, and found several. I also bought fabric to make a duvet cover. My only complaint about their website is that the pictures can't be enlarged by much. I solved this by screenshotting the fabrics, cropping, and then saving to my pictures, where I could enlarge them with ease. Also, they don't list the fabric content. I accidentally ordered four yards of fabric that turned out to be burlap and chenille. This is why enlarging the pictures is helpful. I'll use it for a window seat, maybe. Or line a trunk. It's too casual for a formal dining room. Maybe curtains, idk.

When I asked the owner,…read morewho claimed to be an expert, how many yards I would need to cover six chairs, he seemed unsure and began estimating--five, six, seven yards. Based on his suggestion, I purchased five yards, plus he gave me the small amount left on the roll for free. After covering my chairs, I realized I only used about two to two-and-a-half yards. Feeling frustrated that I was advised to buy far more than I needed, I returned to the store to request a refund for the excess fabric I had paid for. To my surprise, the owner rudely refused and insisted they wouldn't take back anything--even though I wasn't asking to return the free portion. When I pressed for a refund, he escalated the situation and threatened to call the police, which he did. This experience showed me that the business lacks professionalism, honesty, and respect for customers. An owner who refuses to stand by their advice and treats customers with hostility doesn't deserve repeat business or recommendations. Based on this encounter, I'll never return and wouldn't suggest this business to anyone. Would you want to support a business like that?
